I like the sound of this :) It sounds like he has enough stages to make into a separate mode. I'm really excited for Spiderman :)

In character specific modes, like that one, will all characters still be selectable or will it be similar to ZVitor's 'REMAKE' modes in Infinity War where only characters from that particular series will be playable?

Something else I thought of today was how will full playthroughs of the story with all playable characters be possible in the future? Currently I use Complete Mode to play as characters such as Namor and Red Hulk, but in the next update, Story Mode will have branches whereas Complete Mode is EVERY stage. Will there be a way to play as the unlocked characters from the start of regular Story Mode?
 
For Spider's mode, all characters will be available.

Only in Complete mode you will be able to play with everyone. For Story, you will be unlocking those charcters as you go.
But since we have two main routes, the complete mode will be unlocked only when you finish the game 2 times.

For the Replay Mode, it will be like Story mode (talking about the characters) - but you will be able to take shortcuts.
 
Hmm. This will make doing 'full playthroughs' of the story with all characters impossible, unless I only record Complete Mode from now on, which is fine I suppose. Just means much longer videos probably since it's every stage. Would Complete Mode still have the cutscenes and such or would I have to still record a playthrough of the Story Mode separately from the individual character runs?

But Story mode and Complete mode are identical :) Same stages, same cutscenes, same routes. The only difference is that you don't unlock anyone, because everybody are already unlocked.

 
Ohh I thought Complete Mode was changing in the new demo and would not have the branches and would make you play every single stage instead. My bad!
 
So since Spider Man and presumably Camelot modes have all characters available, what about Original Arcade Game mode? And will Wolverine’s Mode still happen?
 
Camelot initially were going to be a chapter, not a mode. But I am not sure this will gonna happen.

Wolverine mode is on hold. Maybe I will make a different game for him, I am not sure.

I’d prefer Wolverine as a separate game for the finisher animations.

Whoever is playing Quicksilver on that stage is either brave or very patient, lol.
 
The more improvements and updates of your game the more I'm super psyched for the final version when its released Q. And yeah who needs a jet when you ride a Chimera lol!!!

Why? It's just a little trickier to play with him on that stage, but you can do some crazy combos with him there.

Some more news:
- Some characters has additional animation when respawn. Like Hercules, which brings his pet :)
He appears riding the Chimera, which attacks by breathing fire and them jumps from it.

- Using an idea given by a fan, now the Chimera has two different (random) projectiles - Fire and thunder.
Hercules works different from the other characters - his main attack in sky level is a dash forward. The projectiles are his special attack, which consumes MP.

Hercules is almost done. I am finishing the last moves of his complex grab system:
- Each 4 direction + attack gives you a different attack, plus all the attacks do have follow ups (with D,F +A)
- He has some special grabs too. Grab and inputing D,U+A will make him execute the Spinning Pile Driver - a must have :)

- After his run and grab (his main freespecial), again each 4 direction + attack gives you a different attack. And you will have special grabs too.

New features leads to new bugs, but I am fixing them as they appear (at last, I hope so, lol).

Ilu you are freakin awesome bro!!!! All of these updates and fixes are well worth the wait. I'm drooling with anticipation lol. Game developers seriously need to bring back the glory days of Beat_em Ups and take notes from you and the other creators on here big time!!
 
The grab system looks much more intuitive than what ZVitor did with his Herc, who’s admittedly crippled moveset-wise.

I agree with you. But scripted slam require some work to be done BEFORE start coding the enemies and characters. He has more than 70 characters, its too much to handle.
Plus, there are several things to care about, like walls, holes, platforms, etc.

Wrestling fans, rejoice!

Here is the preview of Hercules for the project Avengers United Battle Force. Hercules is the classic slow and powerful character - He is kinda slow but does huge damage.

He is almost a grapple only character, since he has just 2 non-grab moves - his runattack and an aerial attack.

Hercules has an exclusive grab system. After grabbing, all directions leads to different moves - and you have a follow-up for almost every move.

His main freespecial is and grab move, which leads to more and more grapple moves.

He looks really fun to play! Some of those combos were awesome and like other characters very cinematic to watch :D Great job!

That Avenger Power too XD You weren't kidding about him 'putting on a show' haha. Hydra Golem got WRECKED XD
 
Really sick looking preview of Hercules doing some crazy yet devastating grabs right there. Can't wait to play him in the next version of your awesome game O.
