I like 1st and 2nd ones.

I'm sure you won't do this but it would be nice if the loading screens were random and showed all the different characters, like Sorceress with He-Man, than Teela with Man-at-Arms, or Orko with Battlecat. Sometimes one would be in the front, sometimes at the back. Maybe even villains.
 
I was planning to do this.
I will release new version today or tomorrow with Lion-O and versus mode which is quite fun but i have to disable infinites giving players cancel in fall animations.

Looks like cancels arent really cancels but workarounds, anyone knows how to setup aiflags to cancel from fall animation to freespecial2 ? When im using cancel my character wont move when he lands, which is not how it should be, cancel should be able to really cancel that falling state.
Looks like i would have to wait for solution cause im spening like 4 hours on this and trying all aiflags and setidle and nothing works, i land and move around but animation doesnt change to walk etc. Is it even possible to disable falling state?

Solved it with jugglepoints.
 
Versus mode its the OpenBOR's Aquilles Heel. You can do it, but it would require many work to recreate a decent versus mode, there are several things missing.

So, have you fixed it?
 
Well it is like it is, i think WhiteDragon had something in his TMNT so i might look into it, most important is auto turning when jumping over but with 4 players onscreen it would be a mess anyway.
 
No i would say hes about 70% complete, but i dont think i would give him summons, id prefere to create others as playables cause drawing them would take basically the same amount of time, I dont even know if people would like that idea of having him so its still experiment.
Im updating the file and fixing versus mode, im using enemy type instead of npc like in previous game xcause its not buggy, its hard when battlecat is npc and your enemy is npc, you must decide if you want to use battlecat and when you use him your playable cant hit npc anymore... its just better to stick to enemies in vs mode.
 
Just finished testing the latest demo and I'm definitely running out of compliments. :D I love all of the newest additions.

Could you reveal a completeness of all characters in percents? :)
 
Most of them probably not above 85%.Many playables dont have any throws at all for example.
Battlecat is still very unfinished having just one attack. ;D

Wow, I thought at least one of them is 90 (if not 100) % finished, since all of them are very playable. I can't wait for their final versions.

Hope you don't mind a board newb chiming in on this, but I played the demo before you added Lion-O to it, and I think you're onto something with what you have already(probably just the right amount of stages already too  :P. Beat 'em ups were an arcade genre afterall). I don't think adding a throw mechanic would be necessary for this. I'd been watching the show at Hulu, about halfway through the 1st season now, and the only throwing I've ever seen was by He-Man himself. I'm thinking if you need a throw, maybe replace one of his specials with a grab, lift and throw animation, that obviously only works on 1 enemy at a time, with maybe enough time for the player to decide which direction he wants to launch said enemy.

You already had a solid idea for what you were doing, but if I was working on a mod based off of a childrens cartoon like this, I'd consider taking the Konami approach over the Capcom one(which you are already closer to). My advice would be to just keep it about the combo stringing.

Edit: If that is how he already works, I apologize, my playthrough was with Rammy, who kind of sucked for the boss, so I pulled him out for He-Man on the final continue. Then the move I pulled off called in BattleCat, and he tore through the boss like a hot knife through butter.
 
he man should def have throws

man at arms should have tech and his little mace

teela should have a binding bola to hold enemies for a while

orko have random items like his banana peel

socerous should have magic like idk freeze, fire, etc.

shera maybe have different sword morphs


just random ideas instead of having to figure out different throws for everyone.

already like battlecat...really curious to see what you have next for him...maybe power roar

love the new demo great work
 
Just finished watching episode #30 (The Taking of Grayskull) and it would be really cool to transform that surreal/psychedelic landscape from the White Hole dimension into stage, at least in VS mode. :)

anyone else using this program. What is it again Gimp or Stickman. i know you got some tut's. just one thing though. I feel like I'm watching a Betty Boop Cartoon with all the bouncing  ;D
