I think she never have been playable.
We thought several time about it but I think the biggest problem is to find some sprites, because Linda is pretty limited.
It would not be a good character to play.

But I really like this idea.
Perhaps a mixup of Dafirus's 2 Linda can be a good base.

Im so sorry to quote this old a$$ post, but most of the SDD edits that guy has are not his creations, they are from a guy who made them for me almost 10 years ago when I had the idea of LOTDD back then, I even have the base sprite sheets he used, I hope if he is in this forum by this day or someone who knows him, to tell him to remove those sheets from his site .

Yes, I can understand.
Initially I remember seeing these sprites before.
I just tough, the guys start working on it again. So, it's not his own work...
 
It's possible to save Marian from death in Double Dragon 2 with mame codes and glitches! I hope she will come back to your game :p
 
Hello!! I congratulate you for this great game!
I like very much! I love all the double dragon you can run.
I've played it on pc and it works very well.
But I have a Raspberry pi 3 with retropie stuck in a gameboy.
It's called LCL PI Boy.
The game works there but after a few minutes it resets.
Please, can you fix that or get a version to work well in older versions of OpenBOR?

As far as i know the pi OpenBOR port is using a very recent current OpenBOR version, not an older one. From a previous try to update my game for the latest  OpenBOR version, i realized that the changes i had to do were too many. Now lately when i helped Mr.Q with some stages of his game using the latest  OpenBOR, i noticed that some previous changes in the OpenBOR engine are now reversed again. That means now it might not be that much of a work to update my game for this to the latest  OpenBOR version. And yeah, since now are many people asking me to update it for it, i will maybe give it one more try and see. So if it will not be too much of a work to do, then i will make this update. We see..
 
magggas I would suggest you to wait for the new engine update, really. The latest release has some bugs which where fixed on the newest one, like the controls issue, life count x skipselect, etc.

Oh yeah, i tested today the OpenBOR.v3.0.Build.6412 and i have had a lot of weird bugs and also some shotdowns without any warning in the log file. And then i gave up  :-\

Okay so i will wait and then try also the new engine update, thanks for letting me know  ;)
 
Very nice project. I like how it plays like the original arcade with out the slow down. Again good work. If ya ever get around to super double dragon, Im sure that too will be an awesome project!

Hello guys, as you already probably guessed, i'm just working on a new update with the Big Boss Man and Andre The Giant as playable characters! In meantime you can let me know here of any suggestions or ideas you might will have. So MAYBE i will include some of them as well on the upcoming update. We see ;)

I'm really hyped with this, Magggas!
Actually, any classic wrestler is OK to me!
My only whish is they plays all differently with their own differents slams.

I don't know if Miru is still working on it, I also hope for an incarnation of Marian, if Miru find to motivation to complete the sprite set.
 
I got a pretty neat idea. How about adding hit boxes during throws so that way, anytime you throw somebody, you can knock down other enemies caught in the middle of that throw.

Depends on how the throw is done, if I am not mistake.
I can't remember if you set "projectilehit"  the enemies will automatically hit other enemies. I use attackboxes on some specific fall animations.

magggas As always I can't wait for update of this extraordinary video game. You mentioned we could suggest some things so here are my ideas. It is kinda silly to point out that kind of stuff in near perfect game but here we go:
- That is great feature player can keep running after falling to lower parts of a stage by just holding direction but I  think it could be good to have the same mechanic for running jumps. For example: you do running jump over the gap in the bridge and hold forward to keep running after you land.
- I like how enemies get up at the same time after knockdown which make them very predictable. Grouping them for combos is a pleasant act. But what if get up time could be different for specific enemy types. For example big characters like Bolo could stay on the ground longer but Linda would get up around 1/4 faster. That's just small example - it could be done in many different ways. Successful games like Final Fight and Streets of Rage 2 were very heavy in that aspect. It was really important to know enemy get up time to succeed in higher level of play. For example J and Two.P  were getting up faster than fatman Bill Bull in FF or knife guy Jack getting up faster than fatman Bongo in SOR2. Or it could be done Double Dragon 1 and 2 arcade style: enemies get up fast when they have a lot of HP but the weaker they get - it takes them longer to get up. Just like in real life :)
- Having invincibility frames when picking up a weapon is very useful for player characters but I think enemies should have no i-frames during grabbing a weapon animation. That's just my opinion. It is overpowered tool that enemies shouldn't have.
