-Just fixed one attack animation on the Macho Man (enemy).

I was wondering if you are going to make any of the other wrestlers playable like Andre, Boss Man, etc.  I would really like them all playable at some point if that isn't too much to ask lol!! :D

magggas: Congrats, magggas! I love the addition of the WWF superstars in the wrestler mode(s). The "Where the Giant Sleeps" mode is pretty great and it almost looks similar to the main Double Dragon story which Andre the Giant smashes the motorcycle and runs away. LOL Clever work as always, dude.

As one guy reminded me on youtube, on a 2 players game on the "Battle Royale" mode, the players should also fight each other since only one can be the winner on such match.
So now before i add this, i'm investigating the possibility to also enable grabbing on the player vs player fights  ;D

fantomid be aware that this game needs an specific build to run, as the author said. If you try to run it on the latest engine version, you will have issues.

Now about the game, as  O Ilusionista mentioned my game is playable only with OpenBoR builds from 4107 to 4153 (inlcuded in download). Another thing to notice is that the game is a little heavy on resources.

Anyway, i wish you good luck with your work and the game  ;)
 
Here we go again with a cool update this time!
Now in all modes is a Player Vs Player fight in the end! And this time players can also grab each other and perform their groundattack moves too!

One tiny suggestion if I may... it wouldn't take much to add a pin mechanic to the wrestling ring area. In pseudo-code, something like this:
[list type=decimal]
[*]If KO'd in ring, gain back one HP during the fall. Although not strictly necessary, it's probably also good idea to also put them in a longer fall too (I'd just set a flag and force the fall to loop back instead of making a new animation, but its up to you).
[*]When near an opponent that can be pinned, Down + Jump (or whatever) assumes a pin. During the pin, you're vulnerable.
[*]If enough time passes, the pinned entity is KO'd for real, and they're out. I'd go so far as add the audible three count while pinning and a "lose" animation after, but that's window dressing.
[*]If you get knocked out of a pin or don't pin at all, they get back up - maybe with 5 hitpoints, so that one or two hits puts them back down.
[/list]

That cycle continues until you get a pin for the win!

This would make it feel like you're in a match, and force you to finish the job. :)

PS: At some point, if you're interested, I'd like to help out giving the Lee Brothers some love. Namely, separating Jimmy from Billy by making Jimmy play DD2 style with Left/Right attack buttons and stronger single strike moves.

Its going to be a very long work week, and it would be great if i could take this game with me.

magggas: I think you should update your game to make it compatible with the latest openbor version. This gives you more options to further developments, moreover you've got Damon Caskey help  :).
I will send you a standard and resized spritesheet of Giant Baba for a André the Giant team up  :o

Sadly, this is more easier said than done. His games uses a lot of scripts and a lot of walls, and I remember he talking about issues on the walls.

Well for some reason, in the WWF/WWE universe it's called "Royal" and not "Royale". I don't know why or what the difference means since i'm not a native English speaker, but this is what i found allover the internet.

The only difference between Arcade and Arranged modes is the music. I also was not sure if it's worth it to have these 2 game modes just for that but too many people requested this too many times. And now i don't really mind it.

As about the black screen you got, i have checked again and the olny explanation i could have for that, is that you maybe played the game with a different OpenBOR build than the one i'm providing with the download  ???

Well about Marian, it would be for sure funny to have her as a playable character. The problem is i could never make a full sptite sheet for her by myself. So this could only happen if you guys or someone else will make her sprites.

And by the way, my Lindas are having much more srites than those from the links you nedflandeurse have posted.

This reminds me... I'm working on a Marian sheet, complete with a few special attacks.

I like the idea of a pin mechanic and i know, without it feels like it’s something missing. Actually there are some more wrestling mechanics missing as well. Anyway, about the pin mechanic, the questin for me was not the “how” to make it work. This should not be hard. The only “chalenge” for me if i had to go deeper with the wrestling was that it requires a lot of custom sprites for the DD characters. And for now at least, i did not wanted to spend my limited time on making custom sprites for all this wrestling stuff. So i decided at least for now to keep it more on the beat ‘em up style.

About the Lee brothers, i like the overal idea but not as much the specifics :P

I'm still working on that custom new era Hulk Hogan as well too. Hopefully you can put him in.  I've been working a lot lately but I had time to put in a few hours on the sprites tonight. Hollywood looks sweet too. Can't wait to finish.
