I hope you at least keep "minor blood hit sparks in regular game in addition to beserk mode.  as a matter of fact it would be cool if you made it a flash back mission with his brown pal and have him fighting ninja enemies on a japan stage.  enemies can be ryu hyubusa for grunts, shinobi for boss, and this is really obscure but there was a game on nes called kubuki quantum fighter you could use for a final boss shingen

Yes, they will have :)

New char joins as a playable and Helper: Psylocke.

The spriter is, again, Jhfer :) I scaled her down and he had used SNES version's head, since the Genesis sprites' head are too small.

I've found some old lost edits from Storm by Genikell and I edited some frames to use her as a helper

Maybe the big sentinel could be used as "Master Mold".
Secondly, the last gif of him blowing steam... Would you consider using that as an AOE move with an incapacitating effect. Poison, sleep, confusion, silence (no powers/mp)?

Yes, Someone already gave me the Master Mold idea.
About the AOE, yes in some cases.

Storm and Black Widow are two cursed chars, lol.
They have some "backstage" problems that should remain in shadows.

maybe keep same pal except make his face plate Caucasian colored and put a gold ring around the crown of his head.

really cool boss fights ideas...good guys approach him sitting down on some mechanized throne he fights you sitting down for a while with eye or hand lasers or omega red tendrils...once he gets quarter life he stands up and fights you maybe chases you and explodes similar to like those super contra boss fights ...

maybe play with some zoom in and out,

Hope you add more effects to Storm's tornado, like leaves or papers or dust or whatever flying aroud it (she's still lacking some animations, but I know what you're going through).
Maybe you should keep Psylocke on screen a little longer, so we can bask in her glorious ninjaness :D

If I recall correctly, you said when you call helpers, they are random, right? So you don't know if you'll get a simple strike or an area attack or healing/boost (Sabra is still in your plans, right?).

About the animation, I don't think its possible. The editor had vanished and I don't have the enough skills. About the leaves and papers, it could be cool, I will think about.

Depends of which caracter, but most melee helpers will be called at current player z position. Storms appears always at the center of the playable area, for example.

Yes, you will never know which one will answer your call. This adds a bit flavour on the game. Some people doesn't likes random things, but I do.

Yeah, Sabra will be a helper too (the playable sheet is already done), she will heal the players.

I was just playing with the sprites :)
 
Well, my concern was that since you don't know who the helper will target, you may end up missing your chance if it doesn't align with enemy's z level. There are ways to alleviate this. For instance, on Genesis X-Men, this was offset by Rogue chasing enemies and Archangel shooting feathers diagonally as well as coming in and out of screen a couple of times.

So, Psylocke could pause and mind control/stun nearby enemies (not on current z position) after slicing through them.

All in all, it's all cool, man! :)
