Project is completed.
It´s been a long time since I´ve been around and I have found some interesting additions since I left. I have just been playing this game. This is pure genius. I have greatly enjoyed it. Congratulations for the great work. Konami should hire you and do something decent for a change. Please, keep up man. Your work is amazing!!

Have you ever thought about adding the Power Raiders? They were sort of knockoff Power Rangers from the Archie Comics.

Mersox did an entire power ranger mod already. check it out!  ;)

The last demo plays very well on Wii with the exception of the stage menu not having the funtionality it needs in order to progress correctly through the game. I played through most of the game but there's one point where I am stuck moving in the stage select and cannot go into any more levels.

So my question is, is there a correct linear order of stages in which this could help me get to the end of the game?

Sorry for the late reply. The game will always go back to the map and check if you have completed all stages, at which point the last stages will become available. That being said, the last stages are not included in the public demo, so there is a chance you already played through all the available levels.

Not sure if this helps.

I dunno what to tell you dude, this game is amazing, thank you for all the work you put in !
This game is impressive and ambitious ;D the sheer amount of effort that's going into this, the character roster...as a TMNT fan, it is exactly the TMNT game i'd have always wanted, and coincidentally, it is a fan who took it upon himself to create it. I had a blast with it.
Thank you and keep up the awesomeness!!
Also...Konami who? x'D They'd just waste good talent, his great work would just outshine them as "Sonic Mania" did to "Sonic Forces", because there is passion and care in it...konami's heart isn't in good games anymore...even with commercial projects like "turtles in manhattan"...i enjoyed the game, but, it bombed, even tho Platinum Games was *the* company for it in my opinion, after playing transformers devastation and anarchy reigns, my level of hype was off the charts. But as with many commercial projects, deadlines and other problems prevented it from "what could have been.." (it tanked so badly it was removed from digital download stores...)
Sorry if i am rambling and getting off topic, mostly i just wanted to state my full support and appreciation of your time and dedication on this n.n* best wishes!

After all these years, Rescue-Palooza is complete! Thank you all for helping me make this possible.
I guess we can move this thread to the completed mods section.

Love Vernon stats, my man. ;D
IMO you have great asthetics skills, if not the best from us all here on forums.
Im playint the game, its great, i like bosses and map, everything, fantastic work !

Great work!
I cant belive you added Hot-Head, i had this toy when i was kid, and i had no ideia he are on cartoons, only years later i saw him.

I encountered a couple of things that werent mean to happen like Cudley being visible on map, i think variables werent cleared properly, it happened after i loaded game, i also couldnt find a way to exit his level besides start menu. Also all characters became unlocked very quickly without need to beat levels.Maybe its better to disable loading and saving.

I've completed the game yesterday and man, that was a ride to remember. Again, Merso, Thanks for all the hard work! That technodrome level and final boss battles had me screaming like a fan-girl :) That was epic 8)

I'd like to share some thoughts on improvements for the future versions and also some bugs I've encountered during gameplay. Most of all these are minor stuff, but in my vision. this will improve the game greatly.

First thing I'd like to talk about is alternative skins/palettes. It is great that characters have those. Unfortunately not all of them do. Right now some characters have several alternative colors while some others have only 1 default, like Rat King or Armaggon. I think it would be great for all characters to have at least 1 alternative skin, if that is possible. Also it is great that you added old-school 8 bit palettes for some characters, like Dirtbag and Groundchuck. It would be great if all characters who appeared in NES games had retro-skin, including turtles.
Speaking of the turtles, I noticed that Leo and Mike both have 2 alternative skins, black and white one, and comic one, with blank-white eyes. Unfortunately Raph and Don don't have these.
Next little moment. It would be great if portrait in-game was using the same palette as skin you are using. Right now it changes only on character select screen:

In-game portrait is default color

Also I've noticed that some palettes can look improperly. For example Leatherhead's alternative color from TMNT Hyperstone Heist:

When you do jump attack his pants look funny. Also during his win-pose:

His standart palette doesn't have these issues though.
When you select palette pressing up and down, if the character has only 2 colors you don't cycle through them with just one button press and have to press more times. For example Leo has 2 alternative colors, I press "down" to see his 2nd color, then down again to see 3rd color, then his default color and then I need to press "down" several more times to see alternative colors again, like I'm cycling through several standart palettes.

Now for the gameplay. I had several bugs encountered during playthrough, but those were minor ones.
1) Mutagen capsule, which makes you giant, just dissapeared when I smacked it in air, it never landed on the floor so I could pick it up. This happened 2 times, in Dojo stage, when I wasp playing Hothead and in Snowy park, when I was playing Leatherhead. BTW This've never happened in public demo.
2) Some bosses slide from side to side without of animation of walking. Happened with Traag and granitor, they were sometimes moving left and right during punch or shoot animation. Also happened with Krang, he was moving a little while sitting on his knee and shooting his rocket fist.
3) Sometimes bosses start the fight without the full life bar. For example on this screenshot the Shogun only appeared but without full health:

4) Maybe it would be a good idea if your lifebar was not displayed on the map, or at least if the life would be full every time:

5) I thought that some characters' special moves should be buffed. For example Leatherhead's special move, where hi throws a knife is pretty weak, while his cooldown time is pretty long, comparing for turtles' more powerful special moves which have faster cooldown. Tested on Traag and Granitor, I noticed that even Leatherhead's normal punch deals better damage than his knife. So, I think the attack power should be buffed, because it is the special move after all, or cooldown time reduced greatly.

6) Right now the game is pretty easy to beat mostly because of huge amount of lives you start with and then get from bonus levels. I'm for the decent challenge, not insane, but not cakewalk. In your Power Rangers Beats of Power the difficulty was decent, it was not hard but one will probably fail to beat it in 1st attempt. In TMNT the difficulty on stages concerning enemies and bosses is ok, I'd say the problem is only huge amount of extra lives. I was finishing the game with 20 or so.
I'd suggest starting with lesser lives, like 3. And bonus stages should provide not that many lives, I think. Maybe 1-2 maximum. Not 5. There are several times you can do bonus stages so providing that many lives each time will be too OP.

7) For some reason the only bonus level I always got was sewer shooting:

Does it have better chances or something? Maybe I'm just lucky, 4 out of 4 times though :o
Also during selection of the bonus level, where Cudley asks you to select the level, Leonardo's color palette is always random, it can be any of his colors, even ones I never chosen during walkthrough.

8] Encountered strange bug in arcade mode. After quitting the game, then loading saved progress, I started on bonus stage (without selection, it was parachute level). After that I immediately started another bonus level with catapult. And after that, without going to the map I was to choose character and start the fight with giant Krang, even though only the half of levels were completed.

Anyways, these moments is some minor stuff, which, I think, will improve the game a lot. It is great already but I'd love to see it even more polished.
Anyway thanks again for the best TMNT fan game I've ever played. I'll be glad to test new versions and share my thoughts on them ;)

I think the number of lives you can obtain makes up for the lack of continues. Aska is my favorite so far.

I don't know if anyone else is getting this but when Mikey falls in a manhole/open sewer there's an empty dialogue box and no sound.

Other than that I am very impressed an happy with your amazing mod Mersox.

Thank you once again for all the memories.  8)
