Some plan on extra character(s) ?
I'm just curious.
(Even if all my hopes and "interest" goes to Fight Forever, because of roster diversity, but still coherence with all the characters sprites style etc.)

Ok, so, all my hope for FForever, definitely.UDD character roster is finalized, I think it already has enough characters:
SDD Billy, SDD Jimmy, OG Dragon, Sonny, Jeff, Chin Seimei & Yagyu Ranzou 2in1 character, Shaq and Spawn.
FForever will have 50+ characters, and it will be my final work in this community, my farewell letter, I really want to play games now instead of making them!
I've got to say I love the Chin/Ranzou team! Talk about old, obscure, forgotten characters.... Aside from Double Dragon 4, I've never seen anyone else do anything with these guys, be it OpenBOR, Mugen, you name it. The fact you remembered these guys is amazing, and they are incredible to play as. Easily my favourite. Excellent work on these guys! I haven't even tried anyone else because I get to play as Ranzou...
If there's anything I didn't like about this game, it would be minor and/or unreasonable things.
The AI is a pain in the ass, but I can see that it very closely mimics Super Double Dragon, right down to how the enemies circle around underneath you to surround you. That is easily exploitable, so if I get surrounded, that is my problem.
But it appears you also kept the enemies' ocean-sized HP pools as well. I feel like I'm wailing on these guys and not doing any damage because I have to knock down basic mooks a dozen times before they finally just stop getting up., If it were my game (and it's not) I would halve HP pools across the board. Way too much HP for non-boss enemies.
The unreasonable part is very minor, but man... when the female enemies with the whips/throwing stars knock you down and they laugh, it gets me instantly heated. The only thing worse than projectile throwing enemies are ones who laugh at you doing it. There's been a couple times I just shut the game off and ragequit it because I could not stand that any longer. (I told you it was unreasonable lol.) I don't know what it is with people's insistence on using knife throwers, or bull-chargers (like Andore from Final Fight) or what have you but it's not fun to play against.
Overall though, I do keep coming back to it. Maybe I'll just take my headphones off playing it from now on. lol
Thank you! I've been lurking for a very long time now and there's some impressive games here! I've discovered at least another half dozen I want to try too, so I'm going to be busy for a while.Welcome to the community @Raden.

Oh come on man, you should not be getting mad at people for something like this. People will always have all kind of complains no matter what we do and that's normal. We simply can't make everyone 100% happy because we all have different taste and patience levels as humans. This is one big reason I would love to have Securepak for everyone's project and not just commercial/all original projects.
Oh, man.. Now you too come one man! You guys should find the midle ground here because now i find you both being right but also over exaggerating a little bit.Well if I couldn't cheat I just wouldn't play, and on top of that it's none of anyone's business what others do anyway.
All original projects, I absolutely agree 100% with you on. If someone is making all the assets from scratch, that's different, that's their work.
If they aren't... well, that's a little different.
edit: See, magggas gets it. People are gonna have their fun no matter what. I'm not hurting anything or changing anything or making fun of anything, or turning things into a joke. I just want infinite HP and energy. How does that make me the bad guy?
Mr.Q is the one of the best imo, but I also turned on the cheats to give it a try. I enjoy the risk of a Game Over, but not worrying about the meter can make it more enjoyable, when all I wanna do is practice the move set during the campaign.I could not possibly badmouth Mr. Q, he is a top quality game maker and a pillar of the OpenBOR community. I may have only started posting recently but I've been around here for almost two years now. I've felt like the discourse here has been pretty pleasant so far.
I turned on the cheats, I really ended up enjoying the game. It got him a new fan who otherwise may not have had the patience (or let's face it, the skill) to play through these games.
You gotta understand, I'm getting old at this point (I'm a 90's kid). I play games for entertainment, not to "git gud" or whatever the kids these days call it. I'm not here to put on a skill exhibition, I work, I have small amounts of free time, and I just want to enjoy it when I do play a game. That's all.![]()
