King of Rage

In Progress King of Rage v 0.1

The project is currently under development.
I don't know if Hanzo or Fuma's designs would fit the King of Fighters style, but if they were designs for Neo Geo Battle Colosseum, I might think differently. However, right now, I'm carefully choosing the remaining player spots, so I don't know if they'll appear or not.
Thought I bring that roster to your attention.
Since SNK did the Sprite work,
It's just cool to see Hanzo and Fuuma in all their SNK glory.
They dont have to make the cut.
I never knew of that game up until last year I think.

My only complaint is that Demetri operates on a much higher power scale than Rugal does - essentially Rugal's whole spiel is trying to become what an average "Darkstalker" already is, so it's a bit jarring to see Demetri play second banana to him.

It's just a nitpick though. Sometimes one just has to accept a bit of scaling to make crossover figures work. Everything looks fantastic. Keep up the fine work @DD Tokki. :)

In order to make a crossover, you have to cover up the implicitly impossible settings so that the characters can meet. RoboCop is also appearing in Mortal Kombat, so it seems like these days, characters have to travel to multiple worlds to make a living.

Awesomeness, one thing about your game is that it look so authentic, select screen etc.
All I did was refer to the excellent character illustrations and express them in dot graphics. Because of the size limitations, I revised them several times.

Mortal Kombat can get away with it since Earth's champions can come from any timeline.
But you right about characters having to travel across multiple worlds to get by.
I just decide to rewrite the plot to justify the crossover of Geese stepping into the Street Fighter scene. Reference anime, movies and so. I mean they don't stick to the script, why should we.

I think that since it's called a crossover, the story and original settings don't really matter. After all, the purpose of a crossover is to feature popular characters that dominated an era. I want to maintain the original accuracy in that regard, but within the framework of a crossover, I want to be fair regardless of who was originally strong. In other words, even if it's Broly from Dragon Ball, if it appeared in my game, it's just a character and I just try to make the game fun. I don't really care about the story. (Actually, it's a simple story, so I don't want to make it long. :sneaky: )

You talk so, I recall back in the day SVC chaos had an actual story, only for it to be scrapped and the game was released as is, I like the game more so than CVS. I too love a simple story as long as it is well written, it ain't a must though. I mean vsgame weren't know for their storytelling until I played The last blade.

The story I'm talking about lightly is my thoughts on the crossover and is also the direction of my current game.

Stage 0, which I had been stuck on for quite some time, has been completed by updating the character. If the progress of stages 1, 2, and 3 continues like this, the distribution may be done quickly.

hahaha loved the music.
Suggestion: you could include some training dummies, some walls (if your game has some wall interactions)
The character graphics are larger than I thought, so there won't be stage interaction like in Double Dragon, but I think you could make a practice dummies.
