BTW, you know you're a beat 'em up/fighting game nerd if you could list at least 10 games the stages and moves were used to build them. ;D

Majority of the Nero vid could definitely be done with OpenBOR. The racing part I'm not sure.

Looking at the director's concept folder here for FFOFY, I spy A LOT of gaming references and graphics.
 
Alright, I am proud, and exhausted, to announce the COMPLETION of Faderhead's Fistful of F*** You... There are however the few things that I am not picky about, but would change them if anyone knew how:

-Adjust High Score Screen Layout, my high score title is pushed up high so far you can't see it.
-Obstacle Pain Animation, or simply a command to make an obstacle react when hit.
-The position of 'Press Start' on the title screen is kind of high, I'd like to lower it.

I will upload the game this week... Depending on how far I get on the final touch ups.

EDIT: Solved the obstacle pain.

I also noticed my 'Flash' is not working when your character hits an enemy, it does not appear. Again this is something I can live without but it would be nice if it worked.

Check your attack settings, there is a flag for 'no flash' - if you're using OpenBOR Stats it has and issue where noflash is ticked by default.

Otherwise make sure flash is LOAD in models text and not KNOW

Ok thanks for the help. Flash is loaded though. :( I'll check it over again.
 
Fixed the Obstacle Pain and a few other additions. After a few more play thrus I'll be uploading this week for sure. I'll post videos later. In the meanwhile, here's the box arts: ;)

nice box arts! Just watch out for the resolution, some people are blurried (the main guy) while others are ok.

btw, I edited your post to remove the images, because of the foul language. I left the links instead.

Some characters could only be stretched so much... Poor low resolution bastards.

...And you're right! We need to be more careful. There could be children watching!
 
Question: why the chars moves so slow? Its an issue with WII port?
Also, in video 4, you need to improve the fall animation of the character. Once he got hit, he automatically appears "lying on the air", totally in a horizontal position and falls on the ground like a log.

you need to put some transition between his pain and fall animations

He moves slow, because that is apart of his attribute.

I was working with a limited amount of sprites.

 
not his move speed, I mean his jump speed. Seams to be a different gravity from Earth gravity.
About the sprites, use RotSprite to make rotate the pain sprites to make the fall. Search here on the forum for RotSprite.
I use it in almost every char of my mod :)

Ah yes, if you're working in high resolution mods, it's recommended to set gravity
You can set antigravity -100 in all entities OR set
gravity -20 in levels
 
Really really really impressive to see you found a fake game video and make it real ....

I am having trouble uploading the rar file to Chronocrash. It says the limit is 300mb, but the game is 330mb. Any way around this?
 
I'm working on an FTP setup, give me a couple of days and I'll post about it.

Create account on gamejolt, our community isnt stable enough and we moved a couple of times from forum to forum so you have to keep track of your own work and archive it for others, i have my mods here on chronocrash but i also keep them on gamejolt, especially big ones and its easy to replace the file over there to new version.
