Important news about the Avengers United Battle force game that I wanted to share with fans.

In general, I think smaller updates are a good idea. I fell into the trap of wanting to do a big update on the engine, and here I am 5 years later still working on it. In fairness, the engine is different and incremental updates can lock you into backward compatibility for things you later realized should be done a different way. Fortunately you don't have to worry about that for a game module, so I don't see any issues.

Just make clear that it's a smaller update and that more stuff (like the X-Men) are still coming and I think it will work well for you.

I understand your frustration about delay but according all what you wrote it seems to be already a good update to renew the interest in playing the game. People won't be disappointed despite some exprectations because they'll enjoy the new stuff. And they will be able to wait once more a next update. With smile. :)
 
Personally, I think just... release and update with small changes or things might be th ebest, there is only so much hype peopel can have after 4 years and a half of waiting for trying the new stuff. I mean... again, I can understand if you are more of a perfectionist, the 'don't want it out until it is perfect' but sometimes that is just unattainable, and ends up in feature creep that might cause it to never come out. (Plus getting it out might help get feedback from more folks, and bug testing!, and just... give people more stuff to be hyped about than a rather old demo and clips/videos of stuff they can't touch.)

if i am not mistaken, you managed to limit the enemy's boundaries off screen to make the game-play a bit faster right?
or are they limited to only the screen now?

He likes to do all the basic work with images, palettes, suggesting moves and coding the foundation of the char for, when I have time, I can finish the coding and polishing it.

New scenario and new boss for Endurance mode: Yelena Belova, the "Dark Black Widow". I (Hercules) took the opportunity to play with my son (Colossus) the 3 stages of this mode.

This stage has something new: Using the amazing stage control features that OpenBOR provides, the stage moves randomly in several directions, including controlling the "rock" setting (which makes the floor shake, in different styles ).


I still need to tweak some things, like the size of the Mockingbird and the groups of enemies - it's working normally for 1 player, but not for 2 players, which makes mixing different types of enemies.

The game should be updated this year
