The project is currently under development.
Since I am very overloaded with jobs in my RL, I decided - as I should did since the start - to face this as a hobby and to not push myself to a specific date of release. It will be released when I think its enough.

Maybe this can sound arrogant, but its not my idea. I will explain: this decision made my mind softer and reverted this project to be something enjoyable to do, not a heavy obligation as I imposed myself. Mea Culpa.

Some points I would like to share:

• I am using the latest build of OpenBOR - which had fixed the combination of weapon + block, so now you will be able to block with characters that use model weapon, such as Emma Frost. But...this broke some of my random sounds, as in Hawkeye's attacks. I will need to check it further.

• Game size - As expected, the overall game size had grown.
Files - The first demo (pak only) weights 35mb, with 2786 files. The latest version weights 71mb with 6385 files (I still need to cut some fat)
Playable characters - 10 in the last version. 14 in the current one (and maybe it will go to 16).
NPC - 4 in the last version. 15+ on the current one.
Stages - 5 (I am count per stage, not per level). Now its 15+.
Helpers - None at previous version. 11 at current one.

• Loading time - The loading time increased too. While its still acceptable, I think I could upgrade it.
Testing on an old mobile, Zvitor's game took 25-30 seconds to load. Mine took 56 seconds. But his game has 245mb complete while mine have 70mb in demo. I will see what I can do.

• I think I am finished with Hawkeye's updates. Now whenever he spawns on the screen, he unleashes a rain of arrows to clean the area

Man, don't fret. :)

If this was a commercial game, sure, we'd appreciate your "apologies" (and only if we already had spent any money on it). But it's not. It's a labor of love. You should never have believed (or be convinced by anyone) that this game was an obligation. It should always be a hobby.

Sure, we want to play it like, yesterday, but hey, deadlines are for jobs and boring things. ;)

Good thing you've found peace of mind.  I'm glad for you.  :)

But I'm more excited about those updates.  ;D
 
wow! Hawkeye attacks are awesome! And to think he can still change arrow types and everything else on top of all that. Great stuff.

It's consistent with the style of the game you seem to be aiming at, but I'd like it better if he didn't jump so far away before shooting the arrow during the throw. But, it's a style thing, and like I said, it fits really well with everything else you are doing.

I wasn't aware either! Great idea.
Hmmm... another doppelganger idea are Apocalypse's horsemen. A LOT of characters have been turned over the years, so even if you made it up, it's still possible :P
 
Yeah, and I could even work with parallels universes, but I will hold my horses or the project won't have an end. ;)

Some alternative realities are include on the story, so we will have people from different worlds like Guardians of the Galaxy - Yondu Udonta (Earth-691), Major Victory/Vance Astro (Earth-691), enemies like Badoon, The Spider (Earth-15) - the evil version of Spiderman, merged with the Carnage symbiote, Blink from Age of Apocalypse Earth-295 and others.

Our Guardians of the Galaxy are not from the same Earth from the movie (Earth-199999) neither from the current world (Earth 616), but from Earth 691.
 
I don't like to add more spidermen to the game. We will have the normal one, the alternative The Spider. I think its enough.

Here are the enemies I still need to decide if I will use them or the Hydra Four in the Hydra stage: U-FOES (still need to be resized)

Another question: We finally found the good size for Iceman, because I was using IronMan as a guide but he is totally wrong.

But should his borders be black (as everyone) or blue/dark blue to match a ice better?



 
+1 for not using black outline.
Try a not too dark blue.

Also what about giving a little bit of contrast to iceman. (eg. on his 2 darker colors)
