Amazing work as always, and understandable you might just want to try to focus on something else for a while. I don't think anyone would complain at you over releasing the game without those other 2 stages. So don't be pressured on doing those, if you are really not enjoying the work you are putting into the thing. Of course, if you do want to finish them, that's great as well, just don't... well suffer something you don't really enjoy anymore just to complete something that is pretty much complete as it stands.

I would like to thank everyone for their support. I got a lot of messages on my social media about it and, weighing the opinions, decided that it's better for me to release the game now, with less content than I'd like, than wait longer just to finish specific things.

So, I will focus on finishing the update as soon as possible and, in the future, releasing an update with the missing things.

Exactly. Keep the game breathing like Robot Master Mayhem, with constant reveals and updates to keep players tantalized for more, and releasing gameplay/qol updates regularly to keep the game in the fandom's eye. I also other what other non-Mugen engines you're trying out? I suggest GZDoom as a possibility.

Yeah I know. But as you said, this can keep the people motivated to come back for more.
One constant feedback I receive is that people still play this game until today, so I want to make something with a high replay value.

But I don't want to have people waiting for more and more for this update and since my will to work with OpenBOR, at least for now, dropped to a very low level, its better to release it now and them update it later.

I already have enough material to make a second update when its needed, with at least 2 new characters (Hercues and Black Knight).

@Miru I am having a blast with Mugen again, and I am toying with Godot too. Recently, I got my eyes on Ikemen, which takes everything good Mugen has and expands it (its compatible with Mugen) so I probably will be working on it soon :)

I have not tried the newest IKEMEN yet, i wonder if the weird issues where fixed (zoom delta values seemed to work inversed) lack of 3D stages using delta "flipping" tricks, weird limitations on the previously unlimited select rooster & lack of easy controller mapping.

so you have a latest "build" file ready to go that you can share? i quit trying anything new about a year ago because i never got to successfully run the "newest" one successfully
 
A new boss will join the cast of Avengers United Battle Force project: Ultron.

Ultron will be the last boss of the Sentinel chapter, for the build 3.0
 
Preview of a new mechanic included in the game, suggested by Psykai: Power Dodge


.This dodge works similarly to the normal dodge, but with some differences:

Command:
Forward Power Dodge - F+Block (or hold block and input F)
Backward Power Dodge - hold block and input B

👍 Benefits:
- In the forward version, your character turns at the end of the animation automatically, allowing combos on the back of enemies
- Recovery time shorter than normal dodge

👎 Disadvantages:
- Only available to melee characters (with one exception, Black Widow) and who are fast.
- It costs MP This makes the difference between melee and ranged combat characters even greater.

Oh, that's a shame. A bit sad about the project, wonder if it'll be ever released or end up just for the patreon. Oh well. Thanks for the answer.
 
Long time no see.
Life has changed, my interests have changed, I don't have the same free time as before.

Time to update this post, as the game had several new features:

Gold War Machine
What happens if you put Marvel vs Capcom Gold War Machine into a beat em up game? This is what :)

Mutant Power Inhibitor - During the Sentinels path, the player will not be able to choose any characters with mutant powers, until they face this Sentinel Core.
• If you win, all mutant characters are available to be chosen (and only here will you be able to unlock Colossus and Nightcrawler)
• If you lose, you won't lose a life like in the video, but you'll be thrown into a new path, where you won't be able to choose mutated characters until the end of the game.

I'm still developing the rules for this battle, but it will be necessary to defeat him within the allotted time (45 seconds), which is not very easy.


New enemies and progressive lighting
This stage has a cool feature: progressive light - the stage starts dark and gets lighter as you progress on it.
Also there is a new enemy - can you guess from which game it comes from? :)

Greece path and updates
Greece stages received many updates:
- New enemies
- New obstacles
- New music for each stage (can you guess from where they come from?)
- Bug fixes and other stuff
