@Kratus A question: How easy/doable would it be for the SoR2 freight elevator to change colors like the sky and forest? I know the sky/forest is three different image files in OpenBOR with different colors, rather than a palette change like in the original game, but how doable would it be to do the same thing for the elevator freight itself? Especially since there's a huge file of where the elevator goes up. Would it have to reset the entire background, or would there be some way to pull this off? I do see this being used for SoR3 Stage 1-2, so I suppose it could work? I also ask this because Pancake displays three different palettes options for the elevator itself, but they are all the same palette, which, if that wasn't a mistake on the pancake developer's part, makes me think they intended for it to change as well, but didn't for reasons unknown to me. But this is all only if you feels up to this, of course, which I perfectly understand if you don't. I just happened to mess around with some color ideas if so.

Maybe the SORR enemies could be added? That project has gone dark and this enemies could be included. They are as follows:
Cody
Galvice
Trucker
Ninjo
Rudra
Slasher
Seeker

Also, the team could take some palettes from the game and implement them, or do you not want to use the SORR assets as of now?

Many of the already existing characters, both in Arcade and Rebellion, can be improved significantly via these addons, and they can add more variety and fluidity to the SORX.

I say many because of the fact that you are currently using the BKM sprites for the SOR1 enemies, and what I assume will be the SOR1 heroes. However, SOR2 and SOR3 heroes and enemies will get a significant upgrade if you do decide to heed this suggestion. Moreover, the character select will be expanded even more, adding to the aforementioned variety and fluidity

I can also send you the sprites of the palettes from SORR, if you would like. Not a full sprite sheet, but one sprite containing the palette.

I dreamed yesterday that I was playing SORX. In the dream: I chose the SOR2 route, on the beach at the start of the sixth stage, enemies I threw into the water would immediately drown.
I think because I've been playing SORX quite a lot recently, and throwing enemies off platforms one by one have left a deep impression on my brain.😂
 
I personally don’t agree with this.
SORR has many cleverly designed new sprites, new scenes, and new moves, which are its unique features. SORX has its own characteristics and doesn’t need to be turned into "another SORR."
I guess that point is fair. But you can’t deny how good the SORR enemy palettes look

Throwing enemies off any high places has been my favorite activity since the very first part of Streets Of Rage 😁

Please respect that SoRR is it's own entity & this is a completely different project.
 
I made some updates to the background. Namely putting in the fade to the blue toned building on the left. It should transition a lot better now. I also made a few other adjustments as well that you may or may not notice

For your information, I found the Nora BKM version and a screen prototype.
I can work on this if you want.
According to some searches I did, this Nora is a modified version of the original BKM but edited by NattyCat to be used in a SORR Maker mod of the BKM.
The one I'm currently using indeed is the original according to the playthroughs I found.

I really appreciate your search, buddy. But since I had some discussions related to the Tracker's Lair sprites made by NattyCat in my last youtube video, in this case I will stick with the current Nora version.

Friend, I really appreciate your suggestions but I'm avoiding any SORR content at the moment, plus now any SORR Maker mod content too.
The only exceptions are the Super Shiva and Ninjo, because the original author Adrimus himself sent an updated spritesheet exclusively to be used in the SORX.

I was thinking it could go like this. (used the platform graphic as it has all of the colors as the rest of the stage, and is quicker and easier to color test.

Cool. I am testing it out with the larger graphic, which does have a few extra colors. That was mostly a demonstration for how it would look. I'll figure out a palette system for the rest if you need me to. But the one I posted would show the most prominent ones and can at least provide a guideline.
 
Just seeing you thinking about an SoR 4 route is exciting.

I can only imagine how much work that would be, but it would be the most incredible thing ever to see a 'demake' of SoR 4 in this game.

And if I get to play as Estelle in this one day then that'll just be the cherry (not Hunter) on top.
