The SF2 V bit has me curious, coz they took some interesting liberties in that show. Can't wait to see what the plot actually is, and how the SNK chars fit in.
Let me give you the prologue then I know it's saved here for me to refer to whenever.
Every character is tied in base off their sprite.
I came up with a reason for why they look a certain way.
The below is just my personal take and is subject to change.
The games levels with either payout like FightnRage, River city or Streets of Rage.
All dependant on how well I do at level design.
So Years ago, the criminal empire Shadowloo led by M. Bison was defeated by a handful of unknown warriors.
Referring to SF 2V
Though Bison fell:
Chun-Li disappeared (Black SF2 outfit)
Charlie Nash was presumed dead (SF resurrection outfit)
Ken, Ryu, and Guile walked away changed forever.
The Story Begins - Like in xmen clone wars.
The game drop you into a fight with Ryu that can be skipped.
Immediately after Ryu defeats Sagat, marking him with the iconic scar. Ryu is consumed by the dark Hado.
I wanted to give Ryu a reason as to why he stay in his outfit.
Ryu and Akuma are seeking each other out, independent of other conflicts.
So the New threat is Geese Howard.
I like how he entered Tekken, now I done the same but with a twist.
As Ryu walks his dark path, Geese Howard expand from Southtown, building a new brutal empire through force and fear.
Since the world warrior tournament is a underground event held by Bison, Geese made perfect sense, Rugal is just obsessed with fighting the strongest.
Bison's still the Goat.
Since I dont like Ryo's CVS sprite and there isn't one for Robert I killed them off, Dan will replace them since he got a reason to fight. There are others I didn't mention.
To keep rivals in check, Geese had Ryo Sakazaki and Robert Garcia killed, breaking the spirit of their master, Takuma Sakazaki (Mr. Karate)
So you fight Mr. Karate.
Yuri Sakazaki remains alive but is marked by Vega who has a thing for stalking girls. This is to control Takuma
Yamazaki and Eagle who replace Billy( no sprite) to serve as Geese’s elite guard.
....another figure lying wake, Asura must still enter the scene.
It's all coherent and all the above does not spoil the plot when the game is played. I aiming for replayability.
The SF beat em up I always wanted.
