Thanks for the demo Bloodbane, very useful, can someone implement this mechanic in the game? I don't have the enough skill with scripts and follows. Today I manage to fix the default jump, now characters can move in mid air even in a idle jump
I had this issue with Sonic Revolution. The best fix was to just add a boss at the end of the level, even if just a mid boss. That way missed enemies wont lock you at the end since killing the boss kills them.

Ok thanks to the demo of Bloodbane and the help of a friend recently I'm working in the run/shooting animation of the characters, I don't have enough experience with scripts but I'll do my best, soon (probably) I will reupload the game with a great update, vehicles and players will run/shoot without stopping, but be patient.
 
If you know your way around OpenBOR enough you can do a decent amount without scripts. Tho it's highly recommended to ask for help in case you want to do something that may need it.

Yes, thanks for the heads up, stay alert, soon i will reupload this game with a full run and shoot movement, I'm working on that and testing details.
 
Nice to hear. BTW when I'm done running a test on my own project I'm making time to play your mod, I still hadn't played it since last time. I've been playing several run and gun games for a while now, especially Contra Hard Corps, Contra Return, Gunstar Heroes, and Alien Soldiers. Treasure and Konami knew what they were doin. 😁

EDIT: Wanted to let you know I tried the game again, from the start to. Had fun with it, it would be better if you could move and shoot but I wouldn't even know how to do it myself, but at least you made the animations quick enough to shoot and move. Would've been great to have a run mechanic to. BTW, the airplane stage where you fight the big jet, I thinking it was stage 3, I'm thinking you ma have set something back to far cause it I help forward on my controller for over 2 minutes before I ran into anymore enemy planes.

Aside from that, I thought it was fun, could use some work but still good

I'm working in this game again, in the next release both heroes can run and shoot at the same time (thanks to Bloodbane I manage to fix that) change the position of certain cheap enemies and make a little tutorial that says that "in order to pass the stages and advance, you must kill all enemies on screen" and not let them back.
This happens because the lack of waits, I don't use waits this time in order to recreate (amateurly) the camera system seen in games like River City Ransom.

Of course, but no problem, today I manage to fix and recreate correctly the run shoot animation with responsive controls like your Contra game, unfortunately my internet are very slow and limited (sorry, I'm from Venezuela) and I must wait some days in order to visit the house of a friend with a real nice internet speed to reupload this mod, so be patient boys, soon in will show the fixed version 2.0 of this Advance Wars fan game. Please wait.
 
Thank´s again to Bloodbane for the demo and one friend of mine, Felix, for show me how to use this scripts, i´ve uploaded the v2.0, now characters can run and shoot properly like classic Contra or Mega Man games. The game can be downloaded in the main post.

Hi, recently i´ve uploaded the Definitive Edition of this game, now characters can gain levels of experience a la The King of Dragons, the mod bring some other minor changes and add-on, various fix, now the game can save without bug-crashings in the Android version. I hope you enjoy this last version of the game.

Despite this game's development are complete, in working on a yet new update to celebrate the release of the official Advance Wars 1 & 2 Remake (Re-Boot camp) also I found some misspelled programing code than can potentially cause crash on some stages (the possibilities of this spawning bug are low but still present) so I'm fixing that issues and adding more variety of weapons, even 2 new AI Co-op playable modes, when this revision will be properly tested and ready I will upload a V4 definitive edition PLUS.
So be patient.
 
Very odd, in pc the game work totally fine, you must play the game with the android app version that i release along with the game's file, other versions are out.
OK, it works with the version you supply (4161), but then I can't run Golden Axe Returns. I think I'm gonna go back to OpenBor 6391. Your game looks pretty cool, though.

@Metallic Sun, I think you have the wrong idea how OpenBOR works. It's an engine to build games, not an emulator or a console. You are meant to treat each game as a self contained unit and run the version it came with.

Thanks, that's it. I recommend to play this game on PC for a better experience. Please wait for the upcoming V4, new features on the way.
