Punisher : World Warzone (Discussion)

Mevella from Big Fight: Trouble in the Atlantic Ocean might be cool to see as well.

And also, any plans to do some DC characters alongside the many Marvel ones in the game?

Hi, I ripped this sprite. I just need to add the frames when she's getting dizzy and the spritesheet is completed :).

I'll love to see her in action in your game :)

Full version with her dizziness I forgot:

I'm glad that she'll be converted for a mugen/Openbor game. Can't wait to see her moving and whipping some villains :D

I noticed that on the waterboard stage, Blob's attacks which would come out as waves on the Pirate Ship level come out as just rocks and quakes. This also happens in the Amazon stage.

Check it out! It's Musashi from Captain Commando. I started out making him an unplayable character. Just a boss to battle during arcade mode, but then I started messing with the sprites & now he's a full 6 button playable character. Going to make some more moves soon. Just wanted to show him off.

I like the use of Bishamon vocals for him, but I think they would be better served alongside the original Captain Commando voice clips. I also noticed Pretty Boy is back, and I'm pumped to see Warblade.

A preview of interactivity with the characters & stage. Playing on the Amazon stage will change your moveset with some characters as seen here with Blob & Musashi. You can jump on the rocks & splash around in the water. The code for the rocks still needs improvement.

I think the best representative of Neo Geo beat em up titles would be Maxima from Robo Army. Not only with moves from his source game, but also with stuff inspired by his KoF appearances. He could also kinda represent BoR itself in the game. For a TG16 character, there was this all-female beat em up called Ane-San, that could get its protagonist (Ai) and maybe more (like the pop singer boss (Ruri ) or the swordswoman boss(Sohshi)  or one of the other protags ) included. Or at least a stage for it.

Edit: I also kinda want a Mutant Rampage: Body Slam character.

Things are feeling a little more solid now with the gameplay. Since I have to make a full moveset for these beat'em up chars it's been a lot of trial and error with hits and misses, but has kept me interested throughout the process without feeling like a boring task to complete. I'll be posting more details soon about what to expect in the next update. Until then I hope you enjoy this preview video.

LOL I love Blob's Super at the last part against Musashi and Musashi's death reaction from it with his leg up. Creative work on those, dude.

Suggestion: edit the charcters legs for the aerial hurt poses. If you look at the video thumbnail, it looks like the characters are standing on the air.

Try my best to be creative on the finisher sprites so they don't all look exactly the same. If I can toss in a little comedy so the sprites don't look quite as gory then that's the route I try to take.

@ELECTRO
Do you have ff2 Maki Genryusai sprite that has been resized?

Nope just using Mugen code to resize the sprites. I tried to manually resize the sprites, but lead to problems & slow progress.

Thanks. I remember you saying this before & it's something I hope to address soon. Maybe have to adjust the feet one character at a time as I release alpha updates.

In the next update you will be able to fight against the first non-playable character named Kruel Kurt from a game called Vendetta. His anchor attacks do a decent amount of damage & his weakness is his anchor sometimes gets stuck in the floor. Kurt's team-up partner is a diver with a harpoon. Also note that Cody has his classic spin kick added to the moveset which can also be performed in the air.
