I know some people will say "oh but why don't you add common fighters, like Ken?" the answer is...

because I find it boring.

I always value these "curve balls" more, giving forgotten characters a chance, than adding more characters that do the same thing that another character already does. I've always followed a rule throughout my decades as a game developer:

Doing things differently. I've never been attracted to doing something exactly like the original game - I always thought it was a waste of time, and that it would be better to play the original game.

I respect those who like it, but originality counts a lot for me :)

this game is brilliant it reminds me of smash bros keep up the good work are you gonna add Freddy Krueger to the mix and mighty splatter house and mighty final fight power rangers

Welcome to the forum and thanks for the suggestions, but many of them are not useful. For one thing: I don't add characters just for the sake of it - they should have a reason to be in the game, like bringing something different to the game.

For example, why would I add Jimmy Lee (Billy is already in the game), if everything he does is exactly the same as Billy? It would be a waste of space. At most, an alternative mode for Billy - which was my original idea - but I couldn't think of a hyper that was as good as Billy's.

So, I don't want to sound rude, but throwing out names doesn't help much, because I already know these games :)

I'm familiar with Domingo's hidden character, having played the Shining Force installments and being a big fan of the series.
I completely understand your point about characters and allowing them to shine in an OpenBoard project.
I have a somewhat similar way of looking at them, where I hope certain characters are either adopted into a project where they can have a second life, or I take them under my wing, nurture them pixel by pixel, give them new ones, and ensure they can fully express their potential.

In keeping with the idea of adding quality of life improvements to Pocket Dimensional Clash, we've added a reminder about game commands while paused, which darkens the entire screen below it.

even if the commands are the same for all character in the game (I think this makes the player life easier), won't hurt to add it.

(Thanks @Kratus for fixing it)

I absolutely love this feature.
Particularly the fact you don't have to go in any sub menu... :)

While we're working on the release of Pocket Dimensional Clash 3, we've decided to update PDC2 with some quality-of-life improvements, just to end this cycle without bugs. And to give you a taste of what's to come, Noid will be playable from the start.

We've fixed a bug that caused the game to crash randomly, and we've made improvements to the castle stage, including the Spider Queen boss.
If all goes well, we'll update the game next weekend.

Stay tuned!

O Ilusionista updated Pocket Dimensional Clash 2 with a new update entry:

Here comes Noid (Yo!Noid - NES)

- New playable character: Noid, from the game Yo Noid! (NES), enabled from the start in this version, but will need to be unlocked in the next version.
- Improved respawn system, especially in the Castle stage in the Golden Axe universe. The platforming stage in the same universe can still be problematic in co-op, so it will either be modified or removed in the next version.
- Improved the Spider Queen boss, which now ignores the hole in the level, making...
