bwwd, I really think that hitspark doesn't fits him, plus the spark itself is kinda...weird. That directional blur makes it funny.

The air combos are cool
 
I'll change it when ill be making more effects, i know you dont like sparks with alpha like in mark of the wolves but i have to do his transformation aura and all that stuff was with a bit of blur in the show, the same with portals and similar stuff i will do later so they have to match.

My point here is that the sparks are weird, they have some directional blur.

Hi all I just came across this topic and I'd like to share some ideas

PLAYABLES
He man could start the game as Adam and when his lifemeter turns zero he starts another life meter as he man. Other characters could use powerups too. Adora as She-ra. Duncan, Orko and the Sorceress could change attack mode - as they would become more aggressive cause loosing first life meter (Injustice has a double life meter for example)

Teela would be a good playable character, as Bow Or SeaHawk.

UNLOCKABLES
SeaHawk, as Fisto - if put in-game have the advantages that they could be unlockables. You win - an then they turn to your side - as in Filmation plot

ENEMIES
Concerning the enemies:

Shadow Beasts are controled by Beast Man, as other creatures, as Griffin or he could be a boss OR mind-controling lets say... Granamir

PLOT
Evil Lyn and Shadow Horde sorceress could team up in a stage where they capture Castaspella.


Another possibility is to start with Adam and Adora because Castaspella and-or The Sorceress are enprisioned. So the power sword spell is not working.
So, in part one they start in a quest to beat the evil sorceress to retrieve the power with Duncan and Orko, who also know the secret of their IDs

In part Two, as He Man and She ra they should rescue someone from Hordak and Skeletor.

Horde Prime would be the final Boss




 
Does anyone have some idea what to do so hands wont go through each other ? so hands wont swap places  ?

Maybe some script that would detect how close is the second hand and wont let it go through, or maybne there is some way to limit one hand to only left half of the screen and other hand to right half of the screen ?

That problem could be solved linking the lifemeter change and transformation to the "Go" arrows.

I don't know if that can be done in code...

But it would be a nice implementation in games see the characters change special powers or attacks during game. Adora's and Adam's would be the transformation. Others could change attack. I bet these would fit more interesting than combos.

I find it tough to limit each hand so they won't go through each other. Same goes with sharing playing field for each hand. You'll start to see some problem if one hands 'insists' on going 'to or through' forbidden areas.
I think the real problem is their AI. They should have some 'plan' what to do instead of just wandering around.

If you observe Great Dragon from D&D series, dragon controls each arm either to smash players or cast spell. With this, it is guaranteed that no arm will cross over each other.
If you observe 4th stage boss of Contra 4, giant robot controls each arm and its attack is based on available arms and players position.

To sum it, it's best for you to have invisible enemy which controls both hands. You won't have problems you posted and even better you can have combination attack with both hands with this method :)

I'm not saying it's easy though
 
maybe it would be possible if i would create platform in hand entity and place it high offscreen on top and then add wall high offscreen between two hands ? Im not sure if its possible to set wall in stage in air.

    I made already he-man ,orko and battlecat anims, just a matter of time making them playable, i also want to make sorceress next, then maybe man at arms
    All mods will be with 4 players unless i have only 2 characters to choose from or only 3 etc.
    I want to add some hold attack animations for enemies so you needto smash the button so enemy let you go similar to turtles arcade game, i think its a matter of having cancel on about 2 frames in looped pain animation ? Or it wont reset cancel on every loop so it would cancel only on first loop not next ones ? Anyway if cancel wont work i will use script to escape from that pain anim.
      I suspect this resolution would fit better but my reason to keep 640x480 is 4:3 aspect ratio of the show and my phone lags in resolutions above it, so maybe ill do 2 versions or update my phone, not decided yet.

1200x600 is great!
you should try do a mobile version and a desktop one

this big 1200x600 fits very well with the game in a 4 player background
