For now here is a test of Kunio without weapons for now. By the way nedflandeurse i'm using the color palette  you posted  ;)

Oh man, that Kunio looks awesome and that kick combo at the very end of the video hmm... I think it's the move from Double Dragon GBA version that can be pulled off right after that low kick if i am not mistaken? When i think of it, it would be great to implement that combo for the dragons as well  (Billy, Jimmy, Sonny ) in your next release or maybe even after in the future. Nevertheless it's fantastic work my friend, and with each improvement it's getting better and better. Keep up the great work man, cheers!
 
Fantastic work buddy i can't wait to play as Kunio his moveset look's great. Maybe we can do a co-op playthrough when the update is ready? Just hit me up you know were i am  ;D ;D ;D

It would be nice to add the nunchaku and the staff to players like the Super Double Dragon.

Well actually by now i should have been done with both characters but Kunio alone is just almost done. That means Kunio took me way much longer than i expected because (no offence to Kimono) almost all from my requested sprites made by kimono where from useless to pretty bad, so i had to remade a lot of them by myself like the back-grabbed for example. Also in general i had to remade many sprites, fix other or make some others which were still missing. Now i only still have to remake some the weapon attack animations.
Why all that? Well it's not that i'm a perfectionist or something. The problem is that the sprites for many animations are just slapped together from what ever body parts without any real thought and the animation is looking horrible as result.

Because all that just started to irritate me more than i like, i just took a break afew days ago. Even tho i actually also came up with a nice idea for a mini mode along with the new characters, the way it turned out to take way more time than i wanted and also by doing a job that is mostly irritating, at this point i'm not even sure if i will indeed add Marian and the mini mode as well.
 
magggas: I'm sorry that you are experimenting some much trouble with these sprites. I haven't test them in your game (which has a specific size format), this is one reason why they doesn't fit perfectly to your requests.

Sorry for this problems, it lacks of game testing for sure...

I'm pretty good in animating stuff.
I'm not that fast, but if you need some edit on existing srites or make some animation more fluid or something, I can help.

Ah, this is what I wasaffraid of. Some new game mode that can take more time before we can actually try Kunio and Marian.
But I think it will be funny. Take the time you need to make it right.

And don't hesitate to PM me or message me here if you need some fix in animations.
I'm not good to make severa sprites, but to help animating I'm definitely here if you need help.

The size has nothing to do with it, as i said from the beginning i'm taking care of it and that's fine. The problem is that in some animations, the body pose from sprite to sprite does not match very well and this leads to very choppy/not smooth animation. Look at the example  sprites:

I mean, it's very obvious even without any testing just by looking at these Kunio example sprites that they will result to an weird animation.
Anyway, it's not that i did not like or not appreciate your work, but still the example i just gave you speaks for itself.

Don't worry, the mini mode is just an idea for now which i'm still not sure yet if i will ever add. It will all depend of how lonng these chars will take and how i will feel after i will complete them. We see..
And thanks for the offer, i will contact you both you and Kimono at some point about what will i need.
 
Ok, I see. This can be resolved by changing the feet orientation. This kind of details are obvious when we test characters :).

You know that you can contact me if anything is wrong. I switch with several projects and if I've got no feedback with the sprites, I go on something else.
 
Just for those who were interested, i just scrap the whole thing with Kunio and Marian. I just deleted everything and i will never gonna add these chars, nor i want to hear anything about them ever again.
 
*dramatic pause* magggas Nnnnoooooooo. Seriously though I trust your decision and to be honest I think it's a bad match
 
Unfortunate to hear that in progress content has to be cut, however, its better to cut it out early and move onto something new than to work on something that might not work out.

Looking forward to whatever new updates do come out :)
