Aaaargh! My PC refuses to work!! Maybe it's the HDD but I'm still unemployed and I'm struggling to get by let alone getting new HDD or getting my PC fixed at least.

Same here. I have some SSD drives I could clean and send your way. They're the older large form factor, but might get you going for a bit. Sorry about your situation sir. Been there and it bites. Hard.
