We are far far away from the initial design when she looked like a sl*t and had flashy colors. If you can remember we first talked about it in the start of your project.

I'm very glad of hav your project is comming visually.

you should add more frames for walking, im using 16 for walking and 14 for running, 16 for idle.You only do it once so why not render with more smoothness, its 3d models so they should animate smooth, i would probably even gave them more frames like 20 or more for walk so its smooth like realtime rendering.

This is something I pointed out in the past.
I think, Mtrain wants to have a retro feeling by using the same number of sprites for anims, but it should use more sprites.

Using high-res like sprites (particulary if it's 3D work)
There is a need of more frame in this kind of situation.

An exemple of what not to do is SSF2HDR.
Bigger HD sprites, but old/limited frames number.
The result was a weird animated massive characters.

If you have to add more frames to characters, give priority to Idle, walk and Run anims.
 
This is because in Udon they didnt had experience animating characters , thats why it looks how it looks, low res sprite animation looks more fluid also i dont know why hd ryu is jumping if lowres didnt did that.
OK i fixed that animation a bit, someone assembled it wrong.
In theory HD res sprites need more frames because pixels need to travel longer in higher res so you kinda need more frames but its not true, you play old lowres games on huuuge cinema screen and theyre as fluid as they always were.
I think Udon took too many shortcuts when animating SFHD sprites and lots of body parts are not moving, kinda like copy/paste bodyparts and add some clothes/hair motion here and there.

you should add more frames ...

From the start of this mod i was organize character 3d scenes not properly (because of experience lack and as nedflandeurse say, because of original frames number saving (and yes, that was a bad idea)), so now it is very hard and taking a huge amount of time to make new frames. But i am making it and thats why project takes much more time that i have planning.

And here is the new Zan`s appearance:

And I love how you worked on details (neck hands...)

Only one thing can be better : hip area. the conexion of torso and legs is kind of weird.

About frame number, don't overdo it. If you look at KOF13 game a lot of moves don't have a gigantic number of frames. (beside idle, walk run...)
 
Animations for characters doesn't has to have a lot to look good. A good animation is one that is smooth but hits the right spots to show something that actually makes sense to the person's eye, take the new KoF game sprite, this is Terry in his fighting stance:

The key to creating good animations is finding the right areas to frame a picture, when you do that, you will find that you won't need that many animations for anything. Extra animations can be caused also by special accessories characters have, like a headband, cape, necklace and stuff of that nature, or even just having long hair. I know many people that can create 3D models, my brother alone is a sprite artist that has created many pixel art for Mugen and stuff. Me, I'm more of a 3D modeler, but I can't draw for anything in the world, lol!
 
I had no time to answer, and still a little busy, because in 2 days i will take a vacation to a Switzerland, Germany, Austria and Hungary it takes a 10 days  :P  ;D  8)

Perhaps the select slots can be a little bigger something like 120 or 130% not more.

Lita is really nice in this one.
Her trousers seems to be more like leggings in this one.
IMO it would be better for her whole "ingame desing" instead of trousers.

This way you can also use smart color separations to give her cool variations of outfit (Just like yuri in KOF XIII)

Same for the top outfit.

It would be awesome ´cause her visuals combine with black hair .Sure not resembling the futurama japanese girls off course ....  ;D

I heard the news about the people in Kiev, not sure what's best for Ukraine, if to belong to the EU or not. Anyways, hope everything goes for the best for your people.

About the new enemy... The one with the shield could be some kind of robot ninja?
 
looks great.
giving different designs is a good way to use also different way to act to enemies.
Attacking far, attacking closer, more defensive...
 
2 new bosses:
Ondar and Yolly. Ondar is an alternative of Yamato. Yolly is a long range pistol duelist.
