Pal apply question

I accidentally applied an a palette that wasn't indexed to all my green lantern sprites and now the palettes of the sprites are terribly wrong is there a way to reverse this?

err...how you applied a palette that isn't indexed? palettes ARE indexed.

I use gimp and when you make a new png image you have to manually index the image or else it keeps the rgb color map

RGB is not a color map neither is indexed. There IS a palette for non 8-bit image: TGA2, if I am not wrong, can use images with 512 colors and there are 16bit palettes, but they are HUGE.

Yeah I use ff3 to make pals but when I edit images I use gimp and I have to index the images to 256 colors

you can index images right from FF3. There is a button which applies the palette for all images.

Just pay attention that png images will have its palette order REVERSED, because the main focus on FF3 is .pcx files (where the transparent slot is the LAST ONE), and not PNG (the FIRST slot)

use palapply tool , once you try it you wnt be able to live without it, its great, you give it one image with correct palette and it applies this palette to all images in given folder.

yeah I use pal apply all the time and I use fighter factory 3 all the time to make new palettes and adjust the background color for png images I just made a mistake with pal apply but I've manually recolored all the sprites so I'll just be more careful going forward but thanks for responding guys
