King of Rage

In Progress King of Rage v 0.1

The project is currently under development.
question: why didn't you used the NGBC version sprites, instead of the AOTDK ones? I think they fits better your project visually.

The NGBC sprite was different from what I thought of Kisarah, so I modified the existing Kisarah sprite for a long time.

I like the use of ADOK and the touch ups you did @DD Tokki. The NGBC sprites are OK, but they don't have nearly the variety of moves, and changed her design (i.e. eye color) too much IMO.

Today I worked on kisarah, which I had been putting off a lot. It's 80% complete, and once you make the cut-in for the special move, it's almost complete.
I'm very glad to finally watch Kisarah in action.
And glad to see you managed to edit the frames very well just like the idle stance you did before.
Yes, AODK Kisarah's base is more funny and interesting than her lazy stance and way to move from NGBC. However some stuffs can be mixed up if needed.
Keep it up with the updates ! The roster is going to be crazy! :)

thank you I chose AODK Kisarah because it had a lot of motion that could be used even after applying sprites.

Great ! Also AODK is full of useful animations for a game like beat em up.
And Kisarah have many interesting specials, throws, grabs, movement anims etc. Even animations for weapon technique.

This is so true I don't know why they didn't make a bear em up since it almost play exactly like one.
I love the animated stages in that game.
But King of Rage look crazy, base on the sprites alone SVC chaos would fit well here.

Looks like you are using fake stages on that difficulty select, right? So I would suggest using "nofadeout" on those stages, so the transition between them won't have that fadeout

The part where the menu appears utilizes the map system, so a fade-out is applied like a normal stage. I will try the method you suggested.

It moves directly from one menu to the next without fadeout. thank you
However, it is a bit disappointing that the input sound of the cursor is omitted.

So try this other method:
at the strage set in youtr levels.txt, add this:

custfade 200

it will affect all your stages on the same set, making the fadeout faster. If you wanna them even faster, put a bigger number

This video features Yuri Sakazaki, John Crawley, and King. King is an old character in this game, but has now been reborn with a modern structure.
Holy ****! I never thought someone would give a damn about John Crawley.
The devs followed the "Guile" stereotype. But in the end the character stood on his own thanks to his style and unique moves.

I was going to beg you to add his "Flying Attack" but you already did (see vid at: 5:20) and it's glorious, let me tell you.

Back in the arcades, on your first time John's Stage was a shock: the guy had brutal moves and the music was a real banger. And you could hear it far from the cabinet. ^^

KOF-style John appears to be based on Ralf or Clark, and his skills are a variation of the AOF sprite. So there was a sense of heterogeneity. I also like his special moves, so I drew the arms myself using my limited skills.

@DD Tokki
Is there perhaps a combo video of how they play.
I seen a few videos and it's impressive.
Krauser with the slams and so on.
I'd like to see the limit to what they can do.

I've posted this before, but I'll upload it as a video if I delete it or update the character.
