I drew Power Instinct Annie Hamilton in advance. This is an example of "If you proceed, it will be like this," so it may change later.

Very nice ! I'm affraid of how long it would take.
Actually her (red) Matrimelee design is not a problem to me. beside of her beanie stuff in hair.

I would definitely make a mix up of both styles. Matrimelee base with classic head.
Judst to make the process faster and have a fresh result without long work. bur you edit already looks great.

yes. I don't think the red design is bad either.
For me, the white design on the right is a memory, so I customized it.

Actually in the red one I just don't like the face her hair is not visible ^^ (your new head - classic style is better)
 

This is a chinnen play video.
It is still unfinished, so we need to make more special moves.
I reaaaally like the fact you don't focus only on usual kof characters like so many people do.
Like youtube kof projects are full of clones of Iori, Kyo etc...

Kof's ones are so famous that they're less inspiring to me. I am grateful to be able to draw attention to the characters that opened the era of fighting games at the time.
 
I don't hink the game is hard, because just like most of DD Tokki's game, the mobility of characters is very good, so it's balanced.
you cannot be surrounded by too aggressive enemies.

The bad thing is when people make games with agressive enemies and the playable characters are slow or cannot run etc.
 

Today, I made chinnen's special move.
The most difficult thing while implementing the 4 things was the amulet, but thanks to the script referenced here, I was able to make it efficiently.
If you make the next super move, chinnen is almost complete.

For quick work, we are working on the characters that will appear first.

Chun-Li appeared at the beginning, so I started working on it. She was originally a character I worked on with a snk vs capcom sprite.

However, street fighter 3 seems to have more delicate details, so I started again.

There is a difference from the original to match the heavy color and proportion of the kof method.

Once completed, she will be available as a boss and playable character.

Oh, you mean you go for her CVS2 sprite set?
Actually I reaaaaly like her CVS2 sprites, SVC Chun Li is a bit unnatural.
But I'm not sure CVS type sprites will match with your kof game. unless they are massively edited.

Perhaps something like what Ohgaki did there?

Link's Chun-Li is really great. Even if the details of the King of Fighters are not perfectly followed, the project I make is okay as long as the atmosphere or style fits well, so it is possible with the details of the photo I uploaded.

For example, Rock Howard rather thinks cvs-style sizing is right.

I understand. I had a similar project in mugen. and it worked well with Rage of The Dragon characters, Power instinct Matrimelee, SVC, Neo geo Battle Coliseum, and even some CVS characters with a bit of editing.
So, I think it can work.
Just avoid to mix all of that with very early KOF characters like KOF94-KOF95. They would not match well with CVS or Matrimelee etc charatacters.

Yes, Ohgaki is very skilled.
I regret so many of hs girls are big head type characters. ^^

Dude, it looks much prettier, I personally think the KOF version of Chun Li is even prettier🤓
