here is the thing, it is said that the held back in announcing this - i give the benefit of the doubt & say they held back because they did not want for a certain someone to gloat about it....
it is the number 90% effective that kinda worries me & takes my mind into snake-oil territory....
so we got a disease that kills at the most about.. - give or take & in optimal circumstances --- 10 percent of a population... & this big company will probably promote & will try its darnest to have near 80% plus of the population to get vaccinated.
NO problem so far, but ---
gee wiz 10 percent of "vaccinated" people can still die or get really sick even with the Pfizer vaccine -
so.... covid deaths will still happen ,

now media don't have to report them as much - and move on with the next kabuki chapter of what will happen to some lame quack & his swampy tales

here is the thing...
a month ago 4 family members finally caught it, & 2 of them had bad symptoms, like very low oxygenation levels.
they did not tell the rest of the family anything until 2 weeks later after the first symptoms, because a doctor told them it was just a cold...
Mexican social security, institutions , India , Japan, & africa have been using ivermectin with great success, so one of them & the other 2 who where exposed where given ivermectin as preventive measure.
basically if you come in with early symptoms, (especially the very obvious one of loss of taste & smell) they give you a prescription (or a care package in india) & you go home...
I had data files about the prevention & treatment protocols since about 5 months ago so
the one with the worst outlook was given some, along with anti-inflamatory meds, anticoagulants, & 6 liters of oxygen per minute using a tank (that we had to rent) & the other the same, except the coagulants.
the other 2 had very little symptoms , & where given just the ivermectin - their PCR tests where NEGATIVE by the way...
now here is the kicker,
a family member who has had 2 vaccinations is very sick right now, this is the 50th something person that is fully vaccinated that is sick that i have known, 3 have died.
Also.....two people at the FDA in the US have resigned, because of the looming "mandates" requiring people to get another booster...

My wife found a video with all the bad side effects of the vaccination i am considering putting it off longer. If you can still get the virus when vaccinated then whats the point. One problem is there are some countries that wont let you in unless vaccinated.

It's really hard to say about vaccines. I mean, from the beginning, vaccines don't give 100% guarantee to protect from Covid-19.
There's a neighbor here who was infected by Covid even though he has been vaccinated some time before :-\.
OTOH what will we do without vaccine or vaccination, I should say? trust unvaccinated society that they won't infect Covid? believe that Covid will go away without vaccine?
I'd say that vaccine is a better-than-nothing solution

My view since the begining knowing full well a vaccine will arrive is this, If the vaccine doesn't allow the virus the cause another stronger variant then I'll get it, If those that are vacinated curently are helping the virus to adapt even further, much further than those who are unvaccinated then I'm with msmalik, what's the point?
It's hilarious how people are being taught to hate each other in a brand new way like we need another reason to hate each other, now if you're unvaccinated you're stupid and preventing life from getting back to "normal" and if you are vaccinated you're a sheep and need to "wake up" no love or compassion or empathy on either end, just hate and finger pointing.
I'm not an anti vaxer and I definitely don't believe now all of a sudden the government cares about me and science is never wrong, however one thing I am aware of are the origins of the virus and the vaccine are dubious which makes me very hesitant, I've been unlucky enough to experiance this pandemic in two different countries and the affects it's had on their society, here in italy if you're 12 years old and haven't had the vaccine you can't go mc donald's with your friends while back home in england they've adopted a more "if you die you die" attitude.
The bottom line for me is that this pandemic has shown me things about people I'd rather have not seen but on the flip side I have a new found freedom I never thought was possible and a gratitude for life and simply having air in my lungs.
