v7.4

Fixed Axl's alternate palette color issue.

Just a load of improvements all around. I gave Guy a much better color palette and touched up some wayward pixels.

Finally fixed the embarassing world map issue, and Joe no longer walks like a stiff android.

Wow. I really hope you guys have are impressed with this one. I just put in a long haul on it. Guile has flowing broom hair when he walks. Hahahaaa... awesome.

BTW: I update the game somewhat frequently, so if you want to see it's latest point of development, check back often! Surprises are fun!

Keep on gaming.  8)

Personal Note:  the OpenBOR game-building system kicks some serious ass. Thank God for it, and thanks to the brilliant, diligent OpenBOR crew for creating it, giving developers like us a chance to build and share great games with true gamers. Also thanks to SEEP, and to the fellow gaming bros for all of their helpful feedback.

No screens and 220MB download ? Come On, dont be lazy with promoting it. :) If i see someone creating full mod and posting like this with no screens i suspect it isnt worth to try it if even creator didnt bother to attract anyone with screenshots.

wow those decapre killed me a lot on the first game screen, they colision boxes are off and i got lazy to play the game after it

by the way i liked the big eyes style you did on some sprites

im confused is this final fight or street fighter?  From the video i saw it looks pretty great though good job man.

Its SEEP's Final fight Alpha modified. (and SEEP stuff aren't allowed here, as far as I remember)
The original has a lot of problems, and I see it got worse on this version.

To name a few issues: no credits for using other people's work (like Andore Jr which comes from a mugen char of mine, now it has even Eclipse's Birdie), Cody's crimson upper is misaligned, that flash for EVERY SINGLE enemy killed is ubber annoying, the first screen has too much people, those Cammy edits has very wrong attackboxes, the ninjas attacks with the speed of light...etc

I tried it. I wonder how much different it is to seep's game?

Doesn't seem that much different? I thought the original was a decent game. I love the sprites. The characters definitely needed more moves and the game needed more polish.

Nevermind the flash, what about the horrible noise?

Thank you for your feedback! It definitely helps. I'm doing my best to be respectful and to not step on toes. If anybody would like to collaborate on a project with me, I have some original ideas in the works, and I think it would be awesome to work with some guys with experience and the shared desire to make great games for the true gamers.. Let me know if you're interested; I'd like to share ideas! Thanks.

well i dont mean to sound like an elitist I come from the mugen community and am pretty old school, if it is any kind of edited sprite you should ask the original creators for permission to use their work.. Its just kind of a respect thing.

@RGC, will you repair the bugs and polish this game to finish it fine, or not ?
You can also add the credit SEEP forgot in the game ...

SEEP are credited on the first screen, if I am not wrong.

Not credit SEEP, i know it is already done lol
Credit the guys that made the stuff he used for make his mod.

I'm sorry but I have to be honest here: It's atrocious. SEEP products are not exactly the pinnacle of module authoring to begin with, and this poor derivative manages to make things worse. Bad offsets, worse collision, poor sprites, senseless mishmash of colors/characters/sound/scenery, hackjob animations and fake grappling straight out of the BOR clone days, the list goes on.

I don't want to discourage you, but after the dozen or so messages you sent me and various lofty claims that went with them - it seems you got the cart before the horse friend. Fundamentals first, hype later.

My suggestion is go to ground with a fresh module. Start small and work your way up. Consult us along the way and get a handle on how the engine actually works. Not only will your work improve exponentially, you'll find most of what you want to do is far easier than the solutions you've thus tried or seen attempted by SEEP.

Hi guys! As always, I do appreciate good, honest feedback; I did indeed credit SEEP on the title screen; I placed his name in second prevailing order in fact, as I took 3rd. I also plan to credit everyone else in the final version, as I believe in due diligence. The final version will be made available soon, as I finally landed a working copy of openborstats, and can cover the more meticulous details in a much shorter period of time. I've read the entire online manual, and have a much better understanding of the system now; having been so linked-in to MUGEN for years, a lot of this was new to me, but I've learned a lot in a short period of time. Aside from putting finishing touches on Final Fight: Heroes, my next release is already well underway and will be a fresh original; it's called "Super Knuckle Stars", and will hopefully prove to be a significant next step as my second game. Thanks as always for your feedback, and I hope you'll enjoy what I release in the days to come.

I can't agree more with DC, the best results are from starting with an empty directory and a copy of OpenBOR.exe

Hey! The R.G.C here,

I'll be posting some material for Super Knuckle Stars soon; character sketches, sprites, music/sound, etc. Hope you'll like it!! Thanks.

So are you going to improve FF Heroes or just go straight into your other project?

I don't want to sound rude, but to "improve" FF would require A LOT of work and I won't know if it worths.
As DC said, start fresh or take a better mod as starting point.

Hey guys; I finally got a working copy of openborstats, and could clearly see just how messed up a lot of the internal elements were. Currently, the problem is being fixed, and will be evident in the next update - thank you so much for the feedback, as it really has helped me fix this game and do it right. As far as my next game, I've been working on a clean build, and it's coming along nicely thus far. More as that further develops. For FF: Heroes, I hope you'll enjoy the next update; it should be a lot more fun! Thanks!
