In Progress Creating a TMNT mod suggestions comments ideas?

The project is currently under development.
Nice Raphael sheet!
Did he worked on other characters?

I can remember this project by Bwwd.
This is certainly one of my biggest frustration about oponbor projects.  :-\

Yeah they're cool too, it's a hard choice.

That's a really cool raph, that's the kind of green and yellow I went for, but a bit darker and less colour.  Also I changed the armbands to brown, I never got the shell done thou.

Really like the red he used.

Holy crap I never seen that video before, that's badass.  Sucks that bWWd's mod was lost.  My combat is nowhere that good, I'm trying to make cool fighting thou, with lots of moves and combos.    I have a system where holding direction modifies your attacks.  Also I'm adding so you can switch between weapons to unarmed just for fun of it.

I'm not very good at complex fighters thou, I started the mod to get better at it.  I've been working on raphael and michelangelo for while.  :-[

I had leonardo done once, but that was the first version with 50% resized sprites. Now I got issues trying to resize the enemies I wanted to use.  Also keep adding enemies and they don't match up, even thou they are cool enemies I gotta remove them.

Cool I'm glad it's still going.  I might have more assets he can use, that are already in mugen.

I have an almost complete TMNT screenpack (screenpack only), thou I gave up on the chars I was making.  I have the pack and I started technodrome underground stage (from the cutscene in TMNT4) It's done too but it could use more to make a cool stage, like I want to add so the stage shakes and rocks fall down.  The red background cycles/flashes.

edit: This was only intended to be screenpack only, and a couple of stages, the chars I was doing for my own amusement.

I suck at coding MUGEN chars, more that I'm not good at deciding on a control scheme and making combos. etc.

RatKing would be cool thou, I had lots of samples from the cartoon for him and I coded his intro's and a move to throw rats at you ;)

This year I want to release some stuff or at least have it over to more capable hands, too many cool things collecting dust.  Also my HDD and PC keep threatening me with early retirement.

- Yeah I thought cenobite was using the first arcade game sprites.

- Thanks!
I'll try clean this up so it can have beta release soon.  I haven't finished the select screen yet.

off topic (sorry) but you guys should check this out

I sent you ratking, did you get my PM?

You'll probably want me to redo the SFF thou, I think he was done real messy.  Hadn't touched mugen for years, after this I went through ryon's tutorials and started on day of the tentacle mugen chars.

aww dam it what is it with tmnt projects i mean yes theres many cool projects for them out there but why do they get started for a few weeks then end like i mean they seem to get lost or forgotten like dragons version what ever happened to that it was impreesive.

well i dont paln on giving up but i doubt anyone does. Its just important too me to take my time to get this right so i imagine its going  to take some time

Would you be interested in help with your project? I'm a huge turtles fan :)

Cool!, not sure the gfx will fit thou.
But I have another mod that would suit it,  where did it come from?

@Anurizm - What things could you help out with? :D

@therain237 Cool, I'll check it out.

The sewer from bWWd's mod is pretty good I thought.  I tested it in my mod, (I hope he won't mind).  I've changed the palette.  I think I'd like to use it, but I'll ask him first of course.  Still mainly working on coding turtles and editing sprites when I work on this mod.  So many sprite re-sizing issues, I've had to rethink what enemies I can use.

(I'll make better blood, I'm working on a 'random' blood system in doom mod.)

What you think of this?
tmnt_0058.png

I just did it roughly the other day.  It's just the sewer stage from TMNT on Sega Genesis, I changed the palette, removed the floor and added the water in openbor (animated with watermode).  The front layers I borrowed from bWWd's stage to see how it looked with a foreground.

Everything I'm doing is experimental at this point, not even the palettes are final.  At least I have a proper plan and concept now.

Anyhow I made something you might like - I've made some instrumental loops of 'Ninja Rap' to use in the mod.  I thought it would be cool to have a stage where you fight in the dance club like tmnt2.

I'm also working on a some loops from 'Shredder's Suite' from the first movie.  It gets used for many scenes in the movie.  Trying to add some of these tunes without adding the whole track.  Thou for the rest of the game I'm using music from old DOS game, the NES game and some original tunes from various free sources.

What did you have in mind for the music in your mod?
