I added NES font once you can have, but it might need some work.

Thanks but no thanks Beastie :) that font looks nice now, but the lack of lower case letters really makes it look bad ingame. I'll get around to using the font from NES FF1, but for now I'll stick to the GBA FF font.

I appreciate the help though, really.
 
Agreed, it's ugly in game, but it's the original nes font from games like kungfu.
I never fixed the spacing either.

I was referring to the stages only. All characters looks great  ;)

If Chronocrash allowed us to attach zip/rar/7z files like Lavalit did, I'd just give you Link and Paladin to put in the current demo. I guess I could just upload them to Mediafire later or something.

Anyways, so to make the game feel more like an RPG I added new types of stages. They don't really have fancy names, but I call them "Areas": they are represented by light blue markers on the world map, and you walk around them top-down style like you do in towns. Now you're probably aware that with towns (dark blue marker) you can switch characters and heal up. In "areas," you just walk around and talk to NPC's for hints and goofy dialogue. Oh and maybe you'll find a hidden stage or something too.

Nice, I almost think these 2 shots are one shot but after closer inspection, there are 2 shots ;)

Anyways, about Link... eh Hylian, I can see a fairy with him :). I prefer to have blinking round ball as fairy instead of this but that's just me :)

(Hey, wait a second, IIRC only Kukuris who can have fairies)

About stages, have you thought of reusing backgrounds to make different quests?

Well, the fairy sprite comes from the Oracle Zelda games on GBC, and the sprite itself is pretty much based on Navi, so. It only made sense to use it, right?  ;) And you are correct about the Kokiri my good friend... but to be completely honest, it never crossed my mind to call him that. Hylian (like the shield!) was the name I had in mind when I first edited the sprites. I suppose I could change the name if you really don't like it?

Yup, in two different ways too. In the literal way of having the exact same background, unedited, with a different quest... and in the subtler way of recoloring the background to kind of make it a new one. A remap of a map, if you will.

I also finally made two hidden stages today. Once I make loot to go with them, they'll be complete.  ;D I gotta tell ya, a fire was lit inside me and I feel like coding again just like the good ol' days!
 
Well, that's an option to make:
1. Leave it as Hylian but remove the fairy
2. Change the name to Link
3. Change it to Kokiri and change his description
4. Leave it as Hylian but change his description to "Have a fairy with him"

#1 removes half of the charm, #2 is definitely not happening, and #4 is the most likely if I can fit the text in the box. About #3? Now that I think about it (and looked it up), Link was a Hylian in Ocarina of Time; he was just raised with the Kokiris. So I guess the name is accurate after all.  ;D

Also, thank you guys for your comments. Working on new enemies and such as we speak.  :)

Yeah, Dropbox was more faster they say, Mediafire whas being foolish before as I thought, I realized the uploading settings will not work.
