Ankylosaurus is done*. And since I already have a Willow boss, why not bring another one?

*I spent a few hours programming it (okay, I had a power outage all afternoon), but in the good old days, I would program it in 1 hour – that was the case with the Raptor in the game: I got home, looked at Spriters Resource, liked the graphics, and an hour later, It was already in the game :)
But I'm already a young old man, so everything is slower and I'm rusty.

Castle of Illusion was one of the games I played most on my Master System, so it has a special meaning for me. Since this project uses 16-bit graphics, I looked for something that could be used in this project – and the only thing that fit was precisely the first boss: Old Oak Tree. And it sat in my drawer waiting to be programmed for years...

In the original game, he attacks only by rolling on the ground and makes some nuts fall from the branches when he hits his own trunk. Here, I wanted to add some minions from the original game, such as miniature trees, mushrooms, and the spitting plant.

He was an easy boss... but here the story is different :)

X is joining the Battle Stormer Classics project. You will be able to switch between the X1, X2, and X3 movesets, with 4 weapons per moveset.

To avoid making X too overpowered (although he still is), I limited his moveset to only the X, X2, and X3 games.

Each mode has 4 weapons - 3 normal ones, which change depending on whether you are standing, crouching, or on air; and one "charged" weapon, which functions as a hyper move.

The chosen weapons were:
X1 Storm Tornado S
Chameleon Sting A
Rolling Shield C

Hyper Charged Fire Wave

----------------------------------------

X2 Silk Shot S
Sonic Slice A
Spinning Wheel C

Hyper Charged Bubble Splash

----------------------------------------

X3 Tornado Fang - S
Spinning Blade - A
Z-saber - C

Hyper Charged Acid Shot

I'm so rusty that I had to reread the documentation to remember how to work with the advanced controllers in Mugen stages. But I managed to implement what happens at the end of the game, where the castle explodes and collapses.
(and yep, I had to resize Guilius or he would be as bit as the characters)

Version 3.0 of Battle Stormer Classics will be released soon, and the numbers are stacking up: we now have 27 playable characters, 47 bosses, and 66 stages, all running in widescreen resolution to make the most of modern displays.
