Hi guys,

New to this forum and OBoR.

I'm taking my first steps into creating a test level for my sprites so I can tweak everything on there before I start building the actual levels.

I though this would be easy and for the most part I've been getting my head round things.  Unfortunately I've came across trouble with the z command.

no matter what values I enter the vertical boundaries are not changing ;/

my level is basically made up of these:

direction        both
type 1 0 1
z 200 350
panel data/bgs/testlvl1/testlvl1.gif none none (panel size 432x372)
order a

spawn enemy1
health 999999
at         0
cords        300 220

Could someone explain or help me find out why I cannot correctly define the player walking area please?

At the end of the day I'm trying to define an area on the floor like this /___\ as the walls on each side are orthographic like the very last room at the end of double dragon 1.

Thanks for any help you can offer.

cheers

Doh!

I had just been looking at it too long yesterday as I didn't realise I was putting the z command in the wrong file :) Thanks ever so much for pointing out where I was going wrong.

Also have managed to close off the stage correctly with the wall command.  It's a bit tricky getting your head round the 3D space; it seems a little weird building walls from the bottom up when most stuff seems to be referenced from starting point 0x0 to down-right.

cheers guys!
