Wwf Superstars Arcade Remake !?

Imagine wwf superstars where you could play as Dibiase or Andre (without emulator hacks)
you could use the taunt of your character in game...
you could force a go get the steel chair...

imagine 8 new classic wrestlers....
royal rumble mode...
single matches...

someone here could make that dream a reality....

ill say it...

Welcome to the forum x77x.

There was already a game heading in the direction. The latest version of Double Dragon reloaded includes several WWF Superstars characters. The play mechanics are styled from Double Dragon (it IS a Double Dragon game), but the wrestling moves and taunts are still intact. There's even an alternate mode where you make your way to the WWF Superstars Arena to take on Andre. The only thing really missing is pins and chairs. I have no doubt those would have become a reality eventually. Unfortunately the author is no longer part of our community.


Why not try making one yourself? You won't get far in this community making game requests, that's not what we do. Our purpose is to help each other create, and we'll be happy to help you too if you want to try.

ive seen the videos on youtube... thats how i ended up here...

i have no interest in double dragon, all i ever wanted was a perfect wrestling game, is that too much to ask?  =P

i see they did that retromania wrestling game... i mean it looks ok, but the gameplay looks like crap
wrestlefest was ok but the gameplay in superstars is waaaay better


anyone wanna start a project to remake wwf superstars?

Tell ya what, you rip all the sprites from the games, get all wrestlers, rings, portraits, scenes, sound fx and music and i'll code it all together and make the game.
 
sounds like a deal =P hahahaha

someone got a spritesheet for hogan so i have something to try and copy?
 
x77x: You've got all the wrestlers sprites already ripped in Double Dragon Reloaded mod. The referee misses I suppose and some characters portraits.

Before you go any further realise these are two different sprites styles, I wouldn't recommend having them both wrestle against each other because it would look weird, personally I prefer the larger wrestle fest sprites, they look more like the action figures.

hey guys, starting messing around with this again... im using Double Dragon Reloaded Alternate 5.1.1 as a base... im trying to keep the same art style as the original since guys like Ted DiBiase and Dugan are just recolors
whattya think? this look like Jake Roberts to you?
i also thought about resizing the wrestlefest guys, but i really despise wrestefest... superstars plays SO much better
