In Progress WIP Street Fighter Project

The project is currently under development.
So I just realized that when I recorded my Dhalsim video, I forgot to demonstrate his walk/run + special button move.... he can teleport a set distance forward, and reappear facing the opposite direction. Great for flanking enemies or getting away from danger.

Today's showcase is Fei Long.


Not a lot of commentary here, you see in the video that he's quite self explanatory. However, he does have something unique that the other characters don't: his Rekka, executed by pushing special during idle. You can push the special button up to 3 times to complete the attack. Each hit will launch the enemy a short distance, making it easy to combo into.

I'm now very close to completing the original Super II Turbo cast. All that's missing are Sagat, Dee Jay, T Hawk, and Akuma.

... is almost half of his move set. Yes sir, Guile only really has two special moves. To make up for this, his flash kick has two variants: one that stays still but has higher vertical reach, and another that jumps forward.

Kind of an unremarkable character, yet at the same time, doesn't really have trouble with enemies either. Guile doesn't build up meter very quickly, so you'll have to make do with his kit for a bit longer before you can spam supers. However, his flash kick has a huge attack box, probably the biggest of any non super--so you certainly aren't without options.

Too lazy to write out a summary, here's another guest character: Mai Shiranui


Pretend I wrote out two paragraphs of move set info, peppered with a few boob jokes here and there.

Very nice! CVS Mai is my fav spriteset of hers. Glad you include her in the game!

Seriously, I'll never understand the age restriction on pixelate, low res, clothed character doing noting than fighting...
When YT is full of real girls doing s3xy stuffs, dance, provocation, showing much more and wearing less...
I'm not even talking of actual unacceptable vids with just a "stamp" on some parts, considered like funny videos for all audiences.
This world is crazy...

Last I worked on this in October ( oof) Sagat was almost done. Progress halted because I was toying with a Darkstalkers crossover idea, but I wasn't liking how it was turning out (nor was I crazy about remaking the SF characters with their Alpha sprites, to stay visually consistent).

I'll probably sit down and bang out Sagat this weekend. I've been meaning to get back into this.

Capcom made the sprites, not me! But in all seriousness, I took a page out of games like Blazblue and Under Night In-Birth. I really like how those games "flow," but I couldn't put my finger on how they did it. After hours of playing and watching gameplay videos, I realized that their technique is to use fast animations with long hit pauses. So, the punches look like they come out immediately, but the impact from them is great, etc.

I employed the same idea here.
