I tried 3 different releases of Openbor with almost no success. I got one module running (but not perfectly) with Android 16. It pretty much just crashes when I try to load up a game.

Friend, what game are you trying to install?
I don't have an Android 16 device right now to do some tests, I would like to know if the SORX apk is working fine in your device.

I know that after some security updates in the Android 14, now the system shows a warning message for external apks, but you can ignore and proceed with the installation normally.

None of the games I tried would run on build 6391. When I press A1 the app crashes. Golden Axe Remake 1.5 loaded with 4.0 7533 build. I got stuck after the second boss battle, my character could walk around but the game wouldn't go to the next level.

I installed the newest version of SORX and it seemed completely fine, I only played it for a couple minutes though.

Ok, now I understand. In this case it's not a problem related to the Android system, it seems that you are trying to run games with OpenBOR versions different from the one that the developer used to make the game.

I suggest using the exact same version as the one that comes with the game file. Example, if the developer made a game using the build 6391 for Windows, you need to use the 6391 for Android too, otherwise you can have many problems.

I'm sorry. I need openbor 3.0 versions for android 16. I want to play openbor 3.0 version games on latest android.
Sorry friend, unfortunately I can't help too much. I suggest contacting the developer of each game asking for an Android version.
Maybe they can even port to the engine v4, which has better Android support.
