For those who haven't played yet, The Last Door is a click and touch horror game, inspired on Lovecraft's stories, done in glorious 8bit pixel art. It's fantastic! Music, art, story, all very good!

It seems they released all their resources!

What’s in the package?

You’ll find a zip file containing all graphical assets (scenery, animated sprites for characters and much more) from the first for episodes of The Last Door! That’s about 2,500 PNG files you can use for anything you can come up with

I haven't opened it, but the backgrounds might be worth checking out.

Saw it, the game looks nice especially with the low res feel, but it's just too low res.

Unless you would make a beat 'em up in low res style, then these bgs might work as intended.

Nevertheless, good find erf_beto!

OpenBOR is 2D engine not just beat em up thou

There was some guy making a mod with Game Watch sprites once  ;D

You're probably right these are not that useful, but if you were going for this style there's premade animations etc. char animations that can be used for bases etc.  Lots of items etc.

I attempted to make something with sprites like this before, but these are even smaller.

Yeah, I figured not everyone would be able to use them. But there are always those who surprise us with genius mods (or simple graphics tech demos) from time to time, and free original resources are hard to find.

Also, The Last Door is really good and I can't shut up about it!
