No, it was originally intended to be Blaze and Nicole in this update but they were added in the last update for Sage. Aside from a few stragglers, there aren't many other Sonic characters I can add at the moment due to not having any sprites.

On that note, there will be two added in the next update, alone with the last intended stage for this campaign to make way for a new one, though some can still be added, the next campaign will start going a slightly different turn, mainly more challenges and less fighting the same enemies.

Yeah, that's totally cool. As far as I can discern, there's only a few more with complete sprites somewhere, notably Amy Rose (her and Cream are the only Sonic Battle alumni to not appear in any of your projects yet, not counting Robotnik), Gemerl (planned for SBMM already), and Fiona (possible redemption for her in the game's story?)

And speaking of such, maybe you could add the ability to play as certain villains after beating them or their campaign, like the guests?
 
Didn't really plan on working on Amy and Cream anytime soon, and there's a decent amount of characters already, more then most fan games out there unless they use fan characters. I did see a sprite sheet for Fiona but she wont be added in as a hero since she was a villain the last time she was shown and I plan to stick to that route. Honestly, I liked her more that way.

As far as that old list goes, I still have that in mind, but that's for Sega Brawlers, not Sonic Revolution. Looking at it now, a decent few of the characters on that list did make it in Sega Brawlers, and I still intend on getting the other done at some point.

EDIT: I forgot to mention, I still intend to do a Black Knight themed campaign mode, but I already have a good idea of what characters I'll be using, since they will come from one of Sega's past titles, with one of the main villains playing the part of the Black Knight(though, not king arthur).

Well, it's okay about resistance to put in Team Rose and their ilk despite Amy being a huge part of the franchise.

MFA2 did have a few playable villains, like Songbird, Venom, Juggernaut, etc, avaliable after a certain point. I think that the same could be done for her, or even simply something like Skylanders Trap Team.

I don't really see Team Rose as a huge part of the franchise, they have significance, but if you look at the characters I've added so far, many of them are just as big, if not bigger, then them and been around longer. The main few who haven't been around longer are Silver, Blaze, and Team dark, but they are just as known. Besides, as if 2010 Sega has forgone most of the cast and only used a certain few, and it seems, and this is just from observation, that Amy's only reason for being there is for comedic purpose, not that she's actually important. Sally Acorn, Bunnie Rabbot, and Nicole were long time freedom fighters when Amy was just the damsel in distress, and Sonia and Manic were also freedom fighters as well. Team Chaotix actually had their own game, and it was the second appearance for Mighty, and they all worked with Knuckles from a very early point in the comics, putting them up there with the Freedom Fighters. I can put Amy in anytime, though I feel her importance to the franchise is purely Sega's choice of adding her to almost every game to chase Sonic, thereby making her seem important only by appearance, but compared to everyone else, you really have to question exactly what importance she really has to be be a huge part of the franchise.

Whenever I decide to put her in, she will be available from the start as other main characters have.

Sorry, though you didn't mention her name in that last post, so I could only assume you meant Amy. Nack and Sega Brawlers is a totally different case, and notice that I haven't added him to Sonic Revolution.

lol, you did say that, my bad. There was gonna be a reason why that happened, but even then, I still didn't add him as a hero for SR. Also, I don't know if you know this, but Sega Brawlers was made to keep everything I'm working on for Chaotix Rage and after it. I had a series of games planed but I started doing a bunch of other projects.

PS: I think bundling in a Chaotix Rage mode in this would be fun...
There will be some stages in the future, but not a full mode. Also, the Flying mode stages in Battle mode are intended for CR, and a stage I made in the first version of the game, I've yet to copy it over though.

I only just discovered this mod and I had no idea what to expect when I saw it was a Sonic beat 'em up, lol, but it's actually surprisingly good!

I couldn't believe it when I saw Manic on the character select either since he's a really obscure character. I loved Sonic Underground when I was a kid, lol.

One thing that did bother me was that it feels like there's way too many enemies, especially for one player to take on by themselves. It felt a little too hectic and I was just button mashing rather than actually trying to think about my moves 'cause I felt like I had no time to think, lol, though perhaps I just chose hard levels on the map (Battle Forest and Mushroom Hill). Is there a way to tell which is the best order to play the levels?

Great work though so far. I'm going to be keeping my eye on this one :)

I played a little more and have a couple of thoughts for the characters. Sonic should have his trademark spin dash (Manic actually has this with his Attack 4 button I think) and Tails should be able to do his helicopter tails as a double jump or fly maybe :) I imagine these might be ideas already planned but I thought I'd mention them just in case.
 
I just discovered a GAME-BREAKING error in Metal Harbor. For some reason, one gets stuck after they complete the last combat area of the 2D stage, seemingly no matter what. Please fix this. Also, you can attack through the platforms with the duck attack and die.
 
Hey guys, I haven't even though to check here in a while, I've been playing God Eater 2 on Steam for most of my freetime for the past 2 weeks. I also see Miru posted the link to the game I had already put on facebook, which I did in a hurry cause I was going somewhere, which is why I didn't and forgot to come back here.

To answer some of the following posts.

I've had that happen in Metal Harbor on very rare occasions, but keep in mind you don't get stopped in that stage till the very end, meaning you're free to walk through the entire stage. If you're not able to go beyond that point, it's most likely that you left an enemy standing and didn't know it. Keep in mind this stage was designed this way over a year ago, so there were plenty of chances for it to happen and you only just now discovered this. I could look for a fix but simply restarting the level is all that's needed. About going through the platforms, yeah, the one section is made of nothing but platforms, so I though it would've been obvious not to use your drop attack when you're standing over a death pit. I've had ideas of changing that design though.

Manic and other obscure characters are here because this game was meant to be a mix of Sonic's canons, not just the games, and combine them all into one, where most other fans would rather keep them apart or just ignore them. Thanks for the words and glad you enjoyed the game. I have to say that it was meant to be chaotic that way, and each character has 4 special moves meant to deal with that. Yeah, some stages are harder then others, you can tell by the colors, Easy is blue, Yellow normal, and Red is hard. I do plan on designing stages differently soon, to give you different challenges then just a lot of enemies. I have read other times where people said they preferred to think, but personally, I found games more fun when chaotic, cause once you get things figured out, it just gets boring when there's not much to add to it and usually slow paced. I was going for a Gunstar Heroes feel here when there are many enemies but most of them die quickly, and even for the one that don't, that's what the special moves are for. To repeat what I said before though, I'm trying to come up with other designs and challenges, hopefully, enemies to.

About the characters, the spindash is Sonic's trademark move, but I felt his advance and battle moves were better suited for the game. Manic does have the spindash but he doesn't have many other moves to use(as well as a few other characters). I had to improvise for his special. Tails flying seemed at bit uneeded for this game since it's mainly a beat'em up, and flying really wouldn't add anything to it.

LOL I have been playing God Eater Resurrection on steam lol its been fun can't wait to start the first one hopefully its as good as the first.

I got it on Steam to but it was for getting GE2. I already had Resurrection on Vita. Also, I ended up finishing the story in GE2 shortly after my last post. I know there's more missions I can do but the main thing that kept me going is done with. I think Online gameplay, if I can find me any groups, will be it soon enough. IN the mean time, I've started Yakuza 2.

Looks nice but I have no idea what you're talking about, but if both Dulcy and G.U.N. were invlolved, I would guess this went down during Penders time with the comics. There's 2 Sonic wiki sites I know of, search for the guys name and Sonic wiki and you should find something with some info on him. After that, link me to it.

I would have no clue about that, I only use Xbox controllers. Maybe an controller app like Joy2Key might help?

I use to use those sounds with Chaotix Rage when I first started modding, but don't plan on doing it anymore. It wont make much of a difference though, but they are GBA quality sounds. Don't concerned about the sparks and shadow from that.

As for the obscure content:

1) The evil dragon was during the Penders era, just as he really begun his worldbuilding-romance period. Issue 107 of Archie's main Sonic comic. http://sonic.wikia.com/wiki/Zan Funny that he shared the same name as the old cyborg hero from Streets of Rage 3.

2) The arc lasted from 111-113.  Amy and Tekno were sent to cease an alien war. The aliens were called the Blurrgh (gelatinous aliens in robotic suits) and Insectra (green insects with guns) The red robot with the gun should be the Insectra. I could see them brought over by one of the more powerful and known alien hordes, like the Black Arms or Metarex. 3) Those legionized humans I mentioned, who worked under the Iron Queen.

Asking for stuff this obscure is almost like asking for Sonic Boom content (the cooler kind, not the really lame garbage like Comedy Chimp that poisons our screens. I do think from now on I'll do this via PM unless you ask for suggetsions yourself, in order to prevent the topic from being clogged up with posts full of nothing but links.

And about Joy2Key, I think it will work much better for OpenBOR than its default system that totally replaces keyboard input for controllers. Anyway, the system presented is simple enough for a keyboard control scheme, as are the rest of your product like SBMM, Cosmic Damage, etc.
 
Ok, red Zan's profile and makes sense. If I can find a use for Dulcy then I'll also add Zan as a boss. Giving the way that sprite looks, Robotnik could have control over him.

The aliens you bring up from STC seem cool, and the clawed street punk could work for those other zones I've seen on STC wikia, so I'll try to find some use for them. About obscure stuff, it's not like asking from Boom content, Boom isn't obscure and completely different, nor do I want anything from it at this point. STC is ok though, and if you find more fitting stuff, let me know. Speaking of Boom and STC, I saw that beaver from Boom appear in a recent issue of STC, Amy was also in her Boom outfit, but it may have been a one time thing since she changed back in the very next issue.
