what about if its making money by donations
could it be illegal (not legal) in some way...???
I think it would be perfectly fair if the persons making games here would make some money with it...
the openbor site here chronocrash.com for example it can make money by donations but if the persons making games here cant get any type of money from their games it would be very difficult to finance chronocrash.com because the person who is making the game is already putting a lot of is time and personal money on himself to get the game done...
this means donations to chronocrash.com would always be coming from someone outside far away who find the site sympathetic or charitable... and not from the people within the site who are making the games...
the site kickstarter for example there are some games there that are awful like little card games and dungeon games were the charaters don't have any animation only 1 image... and as for as weird as it sounds those games get a pretty dam good finance percentage... the good games at kickstarter the finance percentage passes way above 100 in some cases reaching between 1.345% / 3.554% way before the game is finish...
iam all the way in favor that each person here would make some amount of money for when is game is finish... depending on the player like or dislike for that game... other way I don't see how this whole thing can work... financing openbor and continuing making games... It is a race against time... And there will come a time when the game maker will no longer have time/ will not be able to go to the supermarket to by food or to afford electricity... then there is a high chance of good openbor games will not be coming out...
Running chronocrash.com or some kind of openbor site... must go way outside of programing knowledge or drawing/animations skills and way above BELOW moral rules or friendship connections... its very important to exist a person with some kind of financial or market knowledge and experience to get the money flowing in a stable way.
