Hey guys got rotsprite to work to scale my gifs however when I scale them it automatically saves them as bmps and does not use the same colors our palette so when I save them back to the gif format they wont work on the game I am working on. Not sure what my dumb ass is doing wrong but any help would be greatly appreciated guys. Thanks for any help.

You have to save all configuratios of your gif, in your folder have a "pal" archive, open it on photoshop and save tour gif with it, it'1s like i done in my projects, see on manual the palets creation

I'm sorry guys I am a complete dumb ass when it comes to software I am editing a original openbor game and I have no idea how to apply a pallets to the BMP file no idea at all. In the charter folder I only see the image file and txt file no pallets file if u could explain in 4th grade terms that would help sorry guys I just got into openbor and computers last year

the palette information is stored within the images, if it's an existing mod it will have the same palette applied to every image (per character, object etc)  You need to do the same for your sprites.

open one of the original sprites, in photoshop go to IMAGE -> MODE -> COLOR TABLE

From here you can see the palette and save it to a file from photoshop as .ACT or .PAL (either works)

Then when you save your rotsprite BMP images as gif or png you can apply this palette in the process. Or just batch convert images to PNG/GIF then use palapply to apply your saved palette file to all images.
