Hey Yotatouch, nice to see you are around again man  :D
Now all this time i see you here again, can't help but wonder what happent to your Final Street Fighter mod?? I also found strange that nobody says anything about as well.
Or am i missing something here??

Nice question.
I hope to see some news about Youtatouch´s project too.
The quality of his work was an inspiration to myself try to make an Openbor MOD based on FinalFight/Capcom series.

In the past this video also motivated me to work on my mod. Even though this mod looks awesome his artistic skills would be better used for a original project if you ask me.

Thank you guys for your friendly kind words and your interests to my work ;)

@Birnbaum, thank you man for your words, i really really appreciate what you said, i'm glad if my work can provoke inspirations, that's the best compliment i can get.
@Maggas, i'm glad you're here too and making some absolute great mods man, you're doing excellent job ;)
As you may know already, modding takes a lot of time, a lot. And when you're crazy enough and decide to draw everything from almost zero to make a remake of an existing game takes more, more infinitely more time to make.
The process is so long that it takes years for sure.
Final Street Fighter is an ambitious project.
The purpose is to make new sprites for every Final Fight 1 Characters, including Ryu and Ken, with Street Fighter III sprites size, colorisation, and animations quality (I insist on the 'purpose' of course, i'm not crazy enough to pretend to even approach this quality from 10%... lol )
The sprites of Street Fighter III series are big, more than 16 pixels colors index (probably 32) AND the animations are insanely smooth.

I wanted to create a Final Fight, A beat them all game with those kind of sprites/animations, mixing a 2D Fighting gameplay to a beat them all game.
Actually Guy's sprites are almost done, he almost had the whole panel of frames i needed (something around 700 frames...)
He is the only one i really worked so far with Ken (which have for the most part of the sprites the original SFIII sprites).
Cody, Haggar, the whole MadGear Crew AND the backgrounds aren't made yet (just the first stage and the more i see it, the more i want to redo it...).

BUT, it takes time. A VERY MUCH LONG process.
I'm not even talking about learning script, that's why i asked help in the past and i'll probably ask again, thankfully guys around here are generous enough to help with people like me... :D (joke)

And unfortunetly, i need to make money to live, pay my rent and, well, you guys know what i mean.
When i draw sprites or 2D animating stuffs, it is for my real works and unfortunetly it is not for Capcom's games... ToT

So the project is not cancelled but for now i can't work on it as i would like to.

Few months ago i re-started to work on a Final Fight project cause i really want to make a Final Fight game mixing a 2D fighting game sinergy.
So the mod is less ambitious than FSF and it is reasonably Doable. I'll rework on the existing sprites (from Final Fight Arcade game version) , add and draw new sprites, attacks etc for the whole cast and i'll still include guests in it.

I'll probably open a Topic to officially introduce the game and the WIP so far.

@msmalik681, you are damn right about what you said, i already had the chance to work on some beat them all games but they wasn't the type i initially wanted to work on.
BUT yes, if i could work on a new and fresh original project, i'll be glad.

Cheers to you all guys !

Man so much of what you said parallels what I deal with when it comes to project neo. Ambitious projects are so time and energy consuming and life EASILY gets in the the way. Awesome to know you're still dabbing into this here and there, I've been of course watching out for your sprite work, Guy looks amazing so far. As I said in my thread this project is a very inspiring one even with just a few videos out, I wanted to do some Final Fight work myself at some point. I'd be glad to help whenever our time syncs up when it comes to putting the characters in action. :)

Hey Yotatouch, thank you my friend and i'm really glad you are back and also glad to read that your project/s are still alive!
I was really amazed from those videos of FSF and i always found the whole concept really cool! I just did not know(or dont remember) about that you wanted to self-drawn the graphics for it! And yeah, self-drawn 700 frames per character.. wow  :o  That explains a lot about the delay!

Your other Final Fight project sounds interesting as well!
I really wish you the best luck for both projects and i hope to see some of their progress as soon as possible  :D

Take care my friend  ;)
