I apologise for the misunderstanding, I removed how BonusJZ did weapons, now weapons are integrated into combat instead of item pick ups. when I was re-painting the game I noticed things that were obvious before but I had a kinda sprite blindness I guess, like the American flag on Jake's back which I recoloured to make stand out more and give the sprites more colour depth.
And then I was like.... he's got GUNS in his freakin ARMS!!! what's the point in him picking up guns when he has them already built into his arms? he's got guns for guns. So creativity got the better of me, can he shoot lasers? what about heat seeking rockets etc so I decided to make weapons personal to each character and develop the lore of the new universe.
Re-colouring the sprites which I put on the back burner until the game was fully stable has allowed me to be more creative,

Tojo (formally Chris) is a Japanese vampire hunter with a Sherlock Holmes kind of vibe.
How weapons will work now will be based on holding the attack, the longer attack is held down the stronger/ different the weapon, pick up weapons will be more stage related.
