New Jennifer is coming!

Jennifer 2 is 40% complete, but the artist leave me... I wanted new animations and original enemies.

The production are stuck, but the whole game is ready on my notes, every step, story, enemies, atmosphere.

I will release Motherless first, then Jennifer 2.

But really soon i will release a game, can't name it yet, but seep gave me the permition to use all his sprites from Ryuuko no ken nekketsu. And im doing some cool stuff for this year.

Motherless im trying to release the game as polished as i can, and maybe i release a demo.

Jennifer 2, i think i have to do all by myself like the first one.

But don't worry guys, Jennifer 2 will be released, and its 100x more disturbing, not in gratuitous way, all have solid motivation to be there. Its nothing like throw some scary and unsettling stuff and done. No. Everything has to be there, like Jennifer 1, in a subjective way.

:D Hello Masterderico, just like your creation jennifer ,i used the necronomicon to awake this topic and ask you...
Will there be any remastered revision of Jennifer?
Jennifer plus extended is still a reality?
jennifer 2 will return with more thirst for revenge or will be a ghostly antihero?

9 years has passed, jennifer 1 was in 2009, x2=2018 ...the year of jenny?

the darkness phenomena splatter house jennifer body spit on your grave master of horror

Jennifer is rotten on the limbo, walking for centuries waiting for redemption.
The first game was her mind. The conclusion is her reality walking on a non end lonely place, she's dead.

What will happen to her? She will leave there? How? She had her redemption, in her mind, not in real world/dimension. How she got her revenge if all that was in her mind?

She wants real vengeance, or maybe she is going to hell? Its all her fault anyway...

Everything will be revealed in Jennifer 2.

It was supposed to be subjective, so my words here can't be interpreted as a fact too.  ;)

So the entire first game is all just in her head? The beginning of the game makes it look like she's crawled out of her grave and then begins to look for revenge, although many other levels appear more like they are in her head, and so beautifully done. As a disturbed person myself, I found it quite easy to recognize the subtlety in the enemies design/names and some of the scenes. The whole atmosphere just resonated with me.

So did she never actually rise from the grave and it was all just a dream type of thing? Was the first game a sort of astral/spirit journey and at the end she has become powerful enough to come back from the dead for real? Would that mean the Jennifer 2 will take place in the 'real world' where she actually does rise from the grave and has a 80's slasher movie vibe?

Sorry I'm just speculating, I guess you probably can't answer that without spoiling, haha :D

I'm surprised and intrigued to hear there may be more playable characters. I can't even imagine what sort of characters they could be, haha.

Working on the whole game by yourself sounds like a stressful task (though it's very impressive that you made the whole of Jennifer 1 that way!). I have very limited use but if you need any help with English translations, voice acting, or colour palettes (for enemies or playable characters) then I'd be happy to lend a hand if it would ease your workload. Hit me up anytime :)

I have no words, thank you.

And yeah, MAYBE the first game is just her pos-death mind, just a perturbed and corrupted ghost mind seeking for revenge that we don't know, even herself says she have the guilty.

But there's one fact, she was abused after death by the orphanage owner.

And yeah, the enemies names are father, mother etc. Things that she never had... And go on...

Enough hahaha

Every piece is connected. I do not throw random stuff, that is a huge NO-NO for me, and we see that a lot in games and movies (modern art too), that's why only a few things shine.

Sorry for the double post.

Ah see having 'father' as a grotesque looking enemy made me believe that should had been abused by her father too. The other person I thought had abused her was a boyfriend. I had no idea about the orphanage. I didn't realize Jennifer was meant to be young.

Interesting how different interpretations there can be :)

The second stage is the orphanage...

I have all pieces, but better not tell you, its meant to be subjective, and it is.

Im only pointing some facts.

Her final words on the end its a HUGE hint of what's going on.

And about her parents, there's part of the history that i WILL tell.

Jennifer is a trilogy.

She is an anti hero? Why she blame herself so much?

And no, she is 18+ in the game, but horrible things happened to her as a kid.
With her parents? On the orphanage? Why orphanage? She was a good kid?

Lol

it has a very japanese horror type history, is not direct, is more psychologycal.
I like the atmosphere you did, and made me happy that you have all the script done.

if you finally do the animations and sounds, why do not you use the "trick" that you described bww some time ago, with the program that "dismember the drawings" like puppets, that would save you a lot of time and you could do exactly what you want as you want .

A drawing made in parts, of the head, trunk, arms and legs; So you would make your own designs and not depend on someone who delays your jobial dreams

Man, i'll be honest with you, i hate those games animations, like castle crasher, the new power ranger game, etc... Its so... weird... Its artificial, robotic and generic.

Its basically a game made in flash.

Bwwd did a great job, i don't think i have draw skills to do that...And it's not my thing...

99% of indie games are made like that, and i hate so much.

The last beat'em up games i got that i enjoyed the design was Mother Russia Bleed and Phantom Breaker Battlegrounds.

Im 100% hand art design, frame by frame animations. It feels authentic and unique.
