Modules compatible with the new version

Hello everyone, does anyone know if there is any way to know if a module works well with version 4.0?
Most of the ones I tested that were created in previous versions have some bug or strange behavior in the enemies, such as killing a boss and it being frozen, making it impossible to move on to the next stage.

Sorry friend, it doesn't work that way any more (never was supposed to, but I digress). OpenBOR isn't an emulator or a console. You play the game with the version it came packed with, same as any other engine.

4.0 only has a few known compatibility breaks vs. 3.0, and all of them involved advanced scripts. Efforts to maintain said compatibility added literal years to the release time. However, as a user content driven engine, there's no realistic way at all for us to test against all the existing catalog to find every unintended difference.

Are you sure this happens only in V4? Can you give more details of how this happens?

And I agree with DC here (even if means more work for me personally). It's time to change the mind from emulator to engine.
The games should work on the version the developed for. And that is it.
 
DCurrent - I'm a casual player on OpenBOR, I forget those details you mentioned, I'll keep in mind that it's best to play the versions that come in the package and not the newer versions.

O Ilusionista - I tested the game Marvel Infinity War and there is a boss who slowly fills his life, when he is defeated he is frozen and does not advance to the next level, I have not tested it in versions below 4.0 to see if the error remains.

I really wanted to test this new version with a game that worked without errors.

hum, which boss? We can report it to the author @ZVitor . But he developed the game to work on V3.

The only mod that is will work 100% on V4 is SORX, because it was developed using that engine.
For all the rest, we would need to test. Most of time, simpler mods without scripts should run fine.
 
The boss in question is the Magus playing in Marvel War of Gems mode and thanks for the tip from SOR X.
Thanks. I've messaged him about this. He developed the game for the V3, but it would be good to take a look at it for future updates if he plans to update to V4 (I know he is about to update the game this year so I doubt he would update to V4 now).
