Minimum requirements of a game

Just an "opinion topic", share your opinion about how a game is supposed to be, what makes a game "complete", what must be avoided, what are the most annoying parts of a game, what makes a game addictive or good to play, what is necessary and what is not.
This could serve me and any other developer, of course, for knowing how to make something that pleases the players, as the development process is not only about expressing our creativity but also make the player enjoy it.
Nothing is too obvious, so I'd like to hear anybody's ideas on how a game should be made.

Text only, please, just your short opinion (no youtube videos, use your words).

The first thing a game should have is fun

I haven't thought much about complete cause I have ideas to improve and expand games I've made. But OTOH I realize that I have to move on and start new game instead

As for must be avoided part, I'd say feature creeps and unstrict ending. Without strict design, games could be expanded into bigger, longer and better form, unfortunately our mood isn't always the same and our time may be limited. So it's best to make game with less features and less levels/stages yet complete than incomplete game with tons of incomplete features and levels/stages

In my definition, a game must be done entirely for fun first. What makes it complete is the many things that the creator likes to put in it for satisfaction of him/herself and its players.
