That is the problem: this games uses (and was developed for) OpenBOR 3.0.
It won't run in V4.0.

Tip: Always use the same version the developed used to make the game.

I know. Because that other version you mention didn't use as much scripts as this game uses.
There is nothing you can do, sadly.

I remember the author had some issues when tried to move from 3.0 to 4.0 and since he has many projects, he should move everything at once and this is an Herculean task - same happens with me.
