Making gfxshadow less dark

So I have been trying to make gfxshadow seem less dark, I would like it a little more of a gray and not as black, and from the manual there seems to be a way to do this but I cant get it to work.

So it seems in the levels text. I should use shadowopacity or maybe change the shadowcolor to a lighter grey.

With shadowopacity I just have been typing in random numbers 0-255 where the index goes...nothing changes..and it say must be followed with at..so I put "at 0" underneath..but I am honestly not sure what that means and unfortunately it doesnt seem to make it change.

I dont have any idea what to do with shadowcolor either..

I cant seem to find a mod that uses these. They do belong in the level text, correct?

Thanks

From manual:
Code:
shadowcolor {R_G_B}

~This command changes gfxshadow's fill color to {R_G_B} at defined scrollpos. This is used together with 'gfxshadow' (see above).
~{index} refers to current level palette's index.
    ~Setting {R_G_B} to -1 turns gfxshadow off.
~Setting {R_G_B} to -2 turns off fill color gfxshadow.
~Example of {R_G_B} format is: 0_0_255 for blue color.
    ~Must be followed by 'at'.

If you want gfxshadow less dark, you can try this:
Code:
shadowcolor 100_100_100
at	0

If that's still dark, you can increase all of them to higher than 100.
