Canceled Lost Critters

Project is halted prior to completion and will not receive further updates.
Okay, another busyness had kept me from working on this but finally I could get some time and made some shots to show
First, after some thought I decided to use night background for waste facility levels, here's an example:

This failed shaped zombie blocks the path with its body. It also can spit at critters

Kablom

This hanging zombie shoots in 3 way. Killing it can activates/deactivates door/trap/platform/something

Just like before I've completed couple levels. Those shots above also shows a preview of those levels

Time to get back to my busyness (and resume working on this)
 
I am admiring to see all these projects like this one progressing in a very good way! Keep going. :)

I'm going to make a show off level to record a video from. The video should show how to get past that mound ;) (and also show other stuffs)
 
Alhamdulillah, finally I got time to record something from Lost Critters, here it is:


Oh yes, before showing new stuffs, the beginning of this video shows animated title and WIP level select screen this game has :). Level select is WIP and the graphics are temporary but the basics are there
BTW script for animated title is different than the one in base mod

Back to new stuffs, new zombies I posted before i.e Muzom, Dribz and Kablom are presented here
And there are new stuffs such as large garbage mound, magnet, conveyer belt, acid pool and production machine
Pay attention to the metal scraps, do they ring a bell? ;)

I'm going to resume working on level select adding unlock and save system
 
I like the custom select screen, is it made "ingame"?
Looks awesome!

Any chance to try a demo soon?

Yes, it is ingame select screen using entities :)

Any chance to try a demo soon?

There's a random bug which makes me hesitant to release a demo. I'm still trying to figure out how to solve it
 
Couple updates:
1. I have completed another level for Waste Facility area :)

2. I've coded level select screen to lock levels if they aren't unlocked yet. To unlock a level, simply complete the previous level

3. Unlocked levels are saved in .txt file. This way players don't have to play from first level and can choose which level to play directly from level select screen :)

Speaking of locks, I need opinions of lock design, here are the lock designs:

Which level lock do you like most?

I'm going to make bosses and boss levels next
 
It's been a slow progress with Idul Fitri celebration and my illness
But anyways, I got result from lock poll before and most people choose this one:

so I'll be using that lock image for level locks

I also have complete a boss level with boss in it but to prevent spoiler, I won't reveal anything about the level nor her

On other subject, while playing Zombotron series, I noticed that those games have nice switch for their elevators and carts. That inspired me to make new switches as shown in this shot:

These new switches are more intuitive and great for moving platforms :)
