My version of Adon's stage from Street Fighter 1. I separated the background sprites into different layers to add more depth. Added water ripples to the lake, fish jumping & dragonflies. The stage comes with 2 versions and zoom options. Enjoy!!

@ELECTRO nice! I have two suggestions:

1 - Maybe you can split the clouds layer on this position, so the clouds near the moutains would move slower than the higher ones (as it happens in real life)

2 - There is a way to animate this water, I just need to remember the program name. OpenBOR has native support for that.
 
@ELECTRO I finally found the tool I used to animate the water as I said above: Nature Illusion Studio.

This is what I used to animated the water on those old stages of mine

Its kinda easy to add those effects, you just need a still image and then you need to convert to indexed colors after that

Animation Maker can do the same job, I just dunno if on the same level

It's really thuggish, but in a pinch, you could also stick the layers you need water effects on into OpenBOR and capture a series of screenshots or use animget.
