darkknight here, as I said before in my last  question post.

I am a beginner at openbor and I am modding characters for my first step of creating bor mods. so I downloaded photoshop for editing my character sprites. but as you can see in the link below, ferroman's sprite has his pink background appearing in game too. so I trying to figure out how to stop the pink background of his sprite from appearing in game. can anyone tell me step by step on how to fix this with photoshop or anything else

open your sprite on photoshop

then go to image/mode/color table

your first color in the table is the background color

if it is not on the right place, change your image back to rgb
image/mode/rgb

then switch back to indexed
image/mode/index image

choose custom and add the rgb background exact color in the first spot  get the old color value from the first spot and place in some other spot in case you dont have it in other spot already

this should fix your problem but is not the best way to do it i think

My method would be:

-put all your uncleaned sprites in a single sheet.
-select manually character color
-invert selection
-delete selection
-then arrange your palette in a 256 mode (transparency etc)
