As far as I know, there's no fan made game ever dare to create even the mtv from korea.

I believe the court case is due  to them making money from final fantasy fans and square not getting any of their deserved cut and the fact they did not  get the option to approve or decline the video.

this mod  has some great progress I love the way enemies cry  when getting beaten up the mod needs to lose the default sound effects.  Looking forward to more updates.

Even if fan made games with or without profit, the Enix might take action. I heard the news about Chrono Cross fanmade game without profit, the website was immediately shut down since the author received the warning letter(email) by Enix.
