I have created an attack motion after grabbing Haggar.
In Final Fight, Haggar can walk while holding on to the enemy, so the motion is to grab and walk.
Then he grabs the enemy and attacks.
And then Haggar's special move, the piledriver.

I'm thinking of including another female character in Final Double Dragon...

Option 1 - Blaze (from Street of Rage Series)

Option 2 - Maki (from Final Fight Series)

The characters would be redesigned based on the sprites of Marian and Linda (from the Double Dragon Series).

Blaze is good choice but if you did add her, there will be people asking of the rest of the gang (Adam and Axel at least). Maki is better choice since Cody and co are already in.
 
Near my house there was a place where there were 2d arcade games like Pacman, Rally x, Space invaders, Elevator action, they were developed on the same screen, they were handled with a lever and one or two buttons and for a single player. One memorable day, when entering the premises together with my classmates, we discovered an arcade so advanced for its time that it showed the image of two dragons and such spectacular music, it was Double Dragon.

Double Dragon is such an iconic game, that it marked a milestone in video games, all of us children had to stand in line to get a credit, and wait patiently for our turn. Double Dragon gave the impression of depth, the options to punch, kick, jump, elbow, knee, flying kick, and reverse flying kick was so innovative compared to its predecessors that only fired. The characters moved following a story, they were very detailed for their time, with such characteristic background music, a true soundtrack.

Thank you, thank you, thank you very much, for reviving Double Dragon for your efforts in building new stages, movements and characters, preserving the characteristics of the original game, the style, the aesthetics, the particular form of movements, and the improvements in the movements that certainly They are a dream come true. Even though I'm an adult, I remembered the excitement of this game when I was a kid.

One aspect that people of my generation have deeply internalized is the game's original music composed by Kazunaka Yamane (Kazuyoshi Yamane), so we respectfully ask the developers to include the option to play with classic songs, or covers, for example:
, the new songs are very good, however, please understand the feeling of those of us who build an emotional bond with these songs, it is not the same to play double dragon with another soundtrack.

Thank you for your comment and support for my project, which has taken more time than I expected, considering that it began at the end of 2019.
Regarding the music, I agree with you, so if you give yourself the time you will see that almost all the songs from DD1 and DD2 are there, as well as some from DD3 and the SNES DD. As you will also see, many of those songs are reversioned, to give it a more current touch without losing the original essence. If you have come across songs that are not typical of the DD, that is because the game already has more than 20 Stages, so I have had to look for songs that I find attractive for the game.

I mostly disagree.
Retro video games should have video game songs, not rock/folk covers, and that’s a pretty common mistake on fangames (I’m guilty too of this in the past). If you put an original arcade song on one stage, you should continue putting video game songs or remixes with a similar style for the rest of the stages, not a rock/metal cover, and for sure not a banjo cover.
BUT you can create an additional mode with only cover/remixes songs.
There’s need to be consistency in the soundtrack along the stages.
