Art Draws from 16-bit Fighter

The thread is some time of visual artwork like sketch, painting, or sprite work.
Why put all these rules? is there some theme you want to achieve with your drawing?
I mean for example seeing son go ku vs liu kang is one of the weirdest I've seen, they don't match with almost everything

I've tried again to make the rules clearer. I also made two lists: one of accepted games (they're many, so this is not that restrictive, I hope) and one of (already) planned draws (you can see it below).
  1. Streets of Rage 2 (Blaze / R. Bear) suggested by maxman
  2. Final Fight 3 (Dean / Stray) suggested by Bloodbane
  3. Streets of Rage (Blaze / Abadede) suggested by NED

SoR2's Blaze is already used by the maxman's Blaze vs R. Bear, then I planned a SoR's version for your suggestion. If you wanna change this fight, just tell me. You can't chose SoR2's Blaze anyway. Otherwise it's a sor2blazepoitation. :p

My motivation is to illustrate beat 'em ups. They aren't ofen drawn and it's kind of frustating to me. Hence my particular desire.

I cannot give another draw until this draw is over. I'm waiting for other people to put their draws here before the deadline next week. Is that right?

Yes, I prefer to be newcomer friendly. It's partly because one week a draw is still long.

BTW if the next member wants to use SoR2, he'll have to keep in mind only Max and Skate will be available among the heroes.
 
Here I am again! I wanted to add dialogues to the draw but I'll do it later maybe. It wasn't absolutely necessary.

Too late and too early. You should wait for this draw to be over. After that, you'll be allowed to make your draw for him to make a drawing per suggestion or he'll make new rules based on this one.

Read the rules in the first post of this discussion, please.

EDIT: I could be wrong though. I don't know what 16-bit Fighter will say about this since he's the creator of this topic, but I know I cannot make another draw. For you and those who haven't put suggestions, I don't know. I thought people will have to wait until the deadline and after this draw is over. I'm sorry for saying it's too late/early earlier.

This is actually more than decent!
I'm curious about the refences for poses, faces, perhaps etc...

Glad to read it! I confess I should have checked R. Bear's gloves before inking. He actually must have real boxing gloves.

Weoooo could and anyone can as long as this one has no suggestion in the planned drawings list. IOW as soon as your wanted drawing is posted you can make a new command again because your previous suggestion is not in the list anymore. Thus you've been able to for almost 48 hours. :D

Really cool to know you enjoyed at less a little!

My drawing is based from chars' ingame moves you can see below. And then I just determined the point of view. I included in the picture my draft I made to test the poses. I changed these ones a little to make Blaze kind of more face to face to the boss. I think the draft's Blaze is more dynamic. Never mind ^^
I also help myself with SOR2's arts. So I discovered that Blaze may actually wear ring bracelets whereas the game doesn't seem showing that.
About Blaze's face, from my mind I drew a face loosely inspired by Evangeline Lilly. Because... Evangeline Lilly, quoi (French useless word). :LOL:

I saw the rules as trying to avoid the issue that can often happen when an artist looks for requests: some guy going "Hey man, love it. Can you draw *an endless list,* thanks man!"

My friend, you nailed it!
I particularly liked how you drew Blaze.
How you handle the voulme of her body.
R. Bear could have been a bit more "massive" but beside of that, it's great!

I usually prefer (my) sketches, than (my) inked work.
But people want to see completed works... ^^;

Thanks for sharing your sketch. So, now, I can see why I felt Blaze face was strangely "realistic" and familliar.
I can't wait to sse more of your work.
